well this is what i have noticed and learned. u can be but ugly have no personality and be in a great profession, and u will get what u want. me on the other hand. will not.

I'm a school bus driver and I love it. why may u ask. cause it does'nt pay the best right. but to me monetary gains are nothing unless u have a smile on ur face. and u make other happy as well. today for instance my elementary school 4th grade gave me a piece of paper in glass telling me i'm the best bus driver ever. that makes me feel great. is it a bonus of 20 grand . no but that one single gesture of how i'm thought about is worth any price figure.

my ex wife never got that. i tried to get her on a run to see what it was like. but all she saw where $$$$$$$$ and thats all she cared about.

Mow mind u I have been in management prior to this and other very boring jobs. but none of them have I brought the difference to so many lives.

I also baseball umpire for the kids as well. that has a nice payoff, but again seeing kids happy is the best part.

Good morning Kickass210, so I dont get it why is your profession hurting you, if you're happy.

so long as it works for you, good for you, the same as if it doesnt work for someone else.

have a great day

Then you should stick with it..regardless of what anybody thinks. It is important that folks like you want to make a difference in our youths lives.

I will note though.. It has been my experience in failed relationships, that there is never just one thing. That when I have chosen to focus on one aspect of the relationship being the cause of the failure? I was usually just in denial of the truth. Being resistant to addressing my part.

yes hon.... why is it you think your profession is hurting you?? Is it because you are assuming that every female on this planet would feel the same as your ex?

sweetie, as long as your bills are getting paid and you are able to provide for yourself & your family that is all that is *necessary*. I strongly feel & believe that EVERYONE should LOVE how they make their income. See, that is teh difference between LIVING and EXISTING.

Hold your head high... smile.... and bask in the love and appreciation all those beautiful souls beam your way. Cause, in the end... Love is all that matters

drinker smokin I am a woman in a man's world...I own a business and run a crew of men ...and was a foreman for 16 years elsewhere running a warehouse crew. I have been called a 'B' more times than I can count. I know if I had a nickle for every time I was called that I could retire...My point is, yes it does make a difference what your profession is...I have been called cold-blooded, hardass,etc.... This tends to turn off alot of men when it comes to them looking at me as a woman...I have heard many times...'I'd like to date you, but...You scare me. Well, I am doing my job, and am a perfectionist. So, now I have to look else where, I know way too many people in the town I live in. It is hard to find someone that can except my woman part here. Of course I am not an easy person to please...I am working on that...

kickass210 - if someone doesnt accept / like / nor respect your chosen profession. A profession that makes you happy and you enjoy doing, then dont waste your time with them. jmo

I agree you should always stick with a job which makes you happy when you find it. Unfortunatly mine though doesn't provide enough money for me to be totaly off of SSI so I'm seeking a second job at a TV station down the street. Still I won't give up my job as a mobile DJ, seeing everybody smiling, dancing, and just having a good time is enough reward that I do the clubhouse dances free of charge;^]

I think you sound like a great man.

When the time is right in fate, the right person will walk into your life.

You need to be proud of being a hard worker and compassionate with kids.
