I have never in my life won anything before, so I wanted to share, my happiness before, there is no way I thought I could write poetry well, and today I guess I got conformation, that I can, this has uplifted my spirits, in such that I will concentrate more on my writings, to enhance and bring it to a different level

"A BROKEN HEART"
I know I am in a relationship
it's been 17yrs. now to date
but the love has faded
there is only loneliness
I'm one room him in the next
Time for us, is only a guess


So I searched the net in hopes
of finding a new home
to lay my weary head
and not be alone, I needed a place
where I could collect my thoughts
plan my future, without getting lost

I came to this site with all that in mind
and then it happened, a friend to be
you came to me, told me you'd help
I was scared at first,
but took your offer, quenched my thirst.

After a while, of getting to know
each while chatting and on the phone
my guard was let down, I could feel
that you where after more
then what I could deal, that was for sure


Proclaiming your love and destiny
I started to wonder, was this for me
your voice so southern it made me weak
the words you spoke, broke into defeat
we made a plan to take a stand
couldn't bare it no more
had to see this man
but once I saw you in place of the voice
alone I am, so same with you
cause, you, the face, where not my choice

I wanted you to stay as my friend
but what could we say, it had to end
this man I met, will lay forever
in my safe, for I believe he loved me
it just wasn't in the fates
I will never forget
the time we shared, but why did you
press on with such a force
to end up on this god forsaken course.

I miss your friendship

You know who you are
even though you live so far
I bellow my wings
each night as I pass above your home
just to check up,
to let you know your not alone

I miss the laughter that we shared
I wish things didn't go so fast
I warned you, I was not ready yet
but you presisted, your request
you said you loved me from the start
but I did not want that, right away

Now time sits still, I have no will
My poems take a hit and sit on the sill
your presense I miss, a broken heart
your friendship, I long for,
you'll have no part.
