im a member of another singles site and some random guy asked me if i was single and if i was looking i told him i was but im not looking,he ran away as soon as i told him i wasnt looking..what ever happend to being friends first and knowing the person well enough to want to be with them?

I know exactly how you feel,but being alone is like being in a tomb,with nothing but air to breathe,bread and water to eat and drink,and no one to talk to ever,for years.just you inside a always dark and cold tomb.

I would rather be alone than spend my time in the company of someone who is not right for me. If you can't be alone and be happy in your own company, then you probably won't be happy in a relationship. If you are happy with yourself you are not going to be desperate to just jump into something with just anyone to keep from being alone. You have the luxury of time to explore and see if the person has a place in your world.

one guy I had written to for maybe a week started asking me if I thought he was "the one"..creeped me right out and I had to stop talking to him. I can't look that far ahead.
