Quietly, I sit, My shoulders are slouched, This room dimly lit, Alone on this couch. My heart on a shelf, It does not mingle, Thinking to myself, That's why I'm single. Ringing in my ear, That, silence can do, Brings the feeling near, Of sadness so true. Someone grab my heart, And hold on tightly, Just give it a start, Shake it up nightly. Patiently, I wait, Still sitting right here, Never be too late, To have his heart near. 1/15/08
