sorry miss andrea...and you as well miss iareray..didnt ,mean to poop on your joys here...if i could stop someone from doing the same mistakes i have done ..i would do it...if you'd like i can retrieve the website for the both of you and post it...i mean the final choices are yours by all means...but always helps to be prepaired in such matters...laptops are much cheaper now..but if you want the link i can send it for you guys..and decide for yourselves,,,

Whatever you decided to buy, don't forget to check out www.dealcatcher.com for some coupons and deals. Some of the users on there figure out how to make a good system and get you $300 off the price (Dell) (i.e. coupon is spend $999 or more and get $300 off. People get the price practically right at $999 and then the laptop becomes $699 instantly).

i have heard acers not worth the money and never buy an everrex brand its just junk,if you can get a dell get one:wink:

For that budget, your best bet would be Dell

or if you are feeling edgy, get an asus eee pc laptop, but it is more of a portable device than a full fledged laptop
