Okay, is there anything in my profile that would explain why I'm getting more people my parent's age messaging me than my age?

Because they like younger woman with a great body.

You are in my age range, so I thought I'd reply. The photo of u in black is blurry/out of focus, and as a result u look a little older than u are. Dump that one dear. The other photos....I'd leave them, but try adding one or two with pleasant smiles or a sweeter pose. Don't get mad, but u look mean....and to a guy my age, maybe a little too much trouble. Men in their 30's and 40's may have divorced a woman they see as mean and don't find that attribute attractive. An older guy tho...he sees u as spicy and young and worth it. I think you are very attractive, and I'm impressed by all the things you enjoy doing. But keep in mind...this is a dating site. I would rather see less about your interests, and more about you, what you feel, what you are looking for, what you desire in a relationship etc. Perhaps that would draw more similarly aged men to your profile. I agree you should make another shot your main picture. You are very pretty but that picture is very blurry and at first glance I wouldn't really click it.

I just switched to this photo today, it didn't look blurry until I pulled it up as the main. The copy of it in my photo album on my computer isn't blurry at all. Yeah the one with red hair does look a bit mean. But it is one of the most current ones.

But my interests are who I am. It IS a dating site, so why waste people's time if they won't be interested in some of the things I'm interested in. When it comes down to it, people all seem to say they are looking for the same thing but never say what they like to do and stuff. That is one thing I've been frustrated with when reading other peoples profiles.

Things u are interested in are important yes....I agree. However, I am curious about YOU, not necessarily all your interests. You asked for an appraisal and I gave it. Your mind is the sexiest part of you. Therefore...show a little bit about what you feel, what you are looking for, what you desire in a relationship, and I suspect that your email buddies age range will come down a little closer to where u want it to be. I actually like your description of what you like and don't like. Maybe add that you want a man who is close to your age in your profile, but I am thinking that the older men would still send you emails.

I honestly think one thing about you that is appealing to older men is that you are a different type of woman. I mean, you obviously have a different taste in clothing, you are more goth and lately these days it seems older guys are into goth type women. It is the fact that you are who you are, that you are not like "most" women that makes you appealing to older men.

But the main reason older men hit on you? Your age is 37, and to someone who is in there 50's you are young to them, sexy to them, and they also know you have experienced life to an extent. I'm not saying guys your age or a little younger do not find you attractive, cause I am sure they do. Just trying to give insight on the question you asked.

I think the age difference attraction thing is going on both ways. It's definitely an "in" thing for younger guys to hit on older women. But then I like that. And state it in my profile.

If you don't like age differences, then say it straight up. Now agreed, it doesn't stop the guys my age from messaging, but at least it keeps the playing field a bit more level.
