so how dose one go about getting friends? you just go to everyones profile and ask to be there friend..that seems to be a bit childish to me...but if there's no other choice...

Try talking with some people first (in the threads and in email). Build a friendship and then add them to your friends list!

Well you can add them as a friend then talk to them. Or talk to them first and then become their friend. And you can also meet people in forums and not exactly talk through email and go from there.

Best way is by posting in the forums and getting to know others then ask don't do it as a trophy or contest ask the ones that you truly would like as a friend not just to gain the numbers. Sure you will do great just keep on just like you have been before long you will get others to request you to be on there friends list as well.

Hey I read your profile and I think its amazing. I saw you like to eat so what kind of food do you like to eat? Chicken nuggests, hamburgers, big macs?".....Lol. Get the drift. Something you find in common with the other person.
