so your saying....to serve the people that died in the twin towers.......we are developing stuff to kill more people............one of our guys was killed by a car sucider.... the other 10 marines in the group with anger went in and shot an entire family that were civilians....one of them was a disabled 60 something year old in a wheelchair........America has killed more innnocent civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan that would make the deaths in the twin towers pale in comparison.........its not more death machines.........its communication and peace we need................i dont want to ofend anyone but like it or not thats the truth........murder causes hatred and more murder......so i dont agree to keep it going soz

Boo ****ing who.
Our efforts over there are based around avoiding civilian casualties. However, the people we're fighting don't have that problem. I guarantee they've killed more civilians than we have, by a lot.
That whole area of the world is a mess, and it needs cleaning up. Most of those people are so backward and ignorant that it's a god damn shame. We have to start cleaning it up sometime, now is as good as ever.
its up to the people of their country to change their country.........no one else. so boo ****ing who yourself

i am just voicing my opinion............thats all............its communication we need......
remember......one country's terrorist is another country's freedom fighter!!!!

This is true. It still comes down to the leader of the country initiating the war that is at fault. I just didn't want the confusion that seems to cloud people's understanding. Our young men and women are in harms way because of our leaders here.

9/11 was a most devastating event to our country and this administration has made it worse instead of better.

The fact they are recycling is good. I did not know they were recycling.

USS New York

It was built with 24 tons of scrap steel from the World Trade Center .

It is the fifth in a new class of warship - designed for missions that include special operations against terrorists. It will carry a crew of 360 sailors and 700 combat-ready Marines to be delivered ashore by helicopters and assault craft

Steel from the World Trade Center was melted down in a foundry in Amite, LA to cast the ship's bow section. When it was poured into the molds on Sept 9, 2003 , "Those big rough steelworkers treated it with total reverence," recalled Navy Capt. Kevin Wensing, who was there. "It was a spiritual moment for everybody there."

Junior Chavers, foundry operations manager, said that when the trade center steel first arrived, he touched it with his hand and the "hair on my neck stood up." "It had a big meaning to it for all of us," he said. "They knocked us down. They can't keep us down. We're going to be back."

The ship's motto? "Never Forget"

Please keep this going so everyone can see what we are made of in this country!

Supporting the troops has nothing to do with the war machine here. Our illustrious leaders that we vote into office are the reason for the wars and killing, not the troops. The men and women who serve our country do it for our country and they are doing what they are told. One can still support the troops and not be pro-war. Those men and women are honorable and deserve our respect. I do not believe in the policies of this administration either but I will never say anything against those young men and women who are putting their lives on the line daily for our country. Put the blame where it belongs on the people who keep voting in these incompetents.
unless you want to kill you will sign up to an army.............maybe if noone joins armies......there will be no munitions and no dictatorial use of to enforce power..

Sorry, guitarjizzard, the reason I posted this thread was to inform - if you or anyone else is truly not interested or offended I apologize. But my point in this thread was to inform and yes to support my troops, while I have one biological daughter, I have over 20 - 30 kids overseas, serving in various capacities and yes, I support each and every one of them.

So, hate to decline your request, but No, I will not cease asking others to SUPPORT OUR TROOPS.

but if theres no miltary whos going to defend our country?

In WWII, if we didnt join the war Hitler would have taken over and we would be German. the same for when the Japanese attacked. In the Revolution, if those men didnt fight we would be British. Men and women have died for you and me through out the years. If we took away the military whos going to defend us and make the world safer? What would happen if we did? hmmmm lets see.....maybe another country will bomb us and kill more people...then people like you would say oh but we took away the military whos going to stop the bad guys now? What if another dictator like Hitler rose to power? hmmmm whos gonna stop him? We cannot take away the military. Use your logic duh!!!!!!!!

war is a business.. same as mcdonalds is a fast food joint. the only reason bush invaded iraq was because of the mess his daddy made of it.that and that alone is a significant reason the twin towers toppled and lets not forget there are people who believe and always will that america was involved in the collapse of the towers, to cook up war fever thus to create more business

another thing to think about....if you did take away the military think about all the people you would be putting out of a job. there are thousands of people who are in the different branches of the military. Our ecomony is strained enough and there are lots of people with out jobs, but if you put thousands of men and woman without jobs that is going to create more of a scarcity of jobs.

He wants to go. He actually retired from the army for awhile. He wants to go back. Even if I tried to convince him to stay home, he wouldnt. He told me it kills him that hes not over there. He is willing to go and I'm behind him 100%.
