Okay this is a total change of direction for me. This is a poem about love and the spirit of a husband who has passed that is watching over his wife. He is watching over her until she is happy once more. Maybe that's the only way his spirit can rest? There are many blanks left for the reader to fill in on this one. I hope you like my newest venture.

Love Unconditional

I sit on the bed, I can barely see you.
A candle flickers,
Barely enough light.
I want to touch you, but can't.

I imagine I'm there with like so many times before,
Holding you the way you need to be held.
Touching, Loving, Security I want to give, but can't.
The candle glows brighter.

Your fingers start exploring, hands roaming,
Warmth rises, tenderness, passion,
I want to feel, You need to feel loved.
The light flickers with me.

Closing my eyes I imagine,
Skin touching skin, our flesh intermixed as one.
The smell, the taste I remember.
The candlelight dims as my memories fade.

Passionately loving one another,
Fullfilling each and every desire,
Exploring, leaving nothing untouched.

That's gone now as I have been for a year,
I sit on the bed and watch you sleep.
Hope one day you'll remarry and be happy.
I love you that much.
I always have,
I always will.
Forever.
