“Learn to Let Go”

As I go through the motion.
Here haunted by the notion.
I hear you calling my name.
Hoping this is not a game.

The words I hear come my way.
As I listen to what you say.
Life seems to have a goal.
Each day you begin to touch my soul.

A little more each time we talk.
Wondering is this walk.
Meant for us some day to take?
Or could it be a mistake.

At times we all have our doubt.
Just to take the time to reach out.
But we will never know.
How it will be, if we don’t finally let go.

At times we must reach deep within.
Just in order for our lives to begin.
We must learn at last.
It is time to deal with the past.

Don’t throw it away but instead forgive.
Just in order for us to move on and live.
This is the only way you will be able to see.
How life really can be.

You must be able to give another a chance.
So your heart once more can learn to dance.
To remember how it felt.
To let them in and feel your heart melt.

So open that door.
To see what is in store.
You will never know.
Not until you’re willing to let go.
