I HAVE HAD A VERY INTERESTING YEAR SO FAR !!!!! You want a weird story? You are getting one. My friend Peter sold everything he owned and was headed for Brazil. Well he was leaving on the 2nd of January and he was going to take a shuttle to the Albuquerque airport, fly to El Paso,take another flight to Mexico City and a bus to Taxco to visit some friends of ours,Margarita and Henrike That was the plan. His flight in Albuquerque was overbooked and he called me to ask if I could give him a ride to El Paso or he would miss his connecting flight. I get this call at about 11:00am on the 2nd. I say sure, I'll be there in an hour and a half. Somethin tells me to grab my birth certificate on the way out the door, that is all I grabbed. On the way down to Alb. I am thinking, I could drive him all the way to Taxco. My Schedule is wide open, I don't have to work until the 15th with the Legislature...why not? I call a boss, he says fine, he can cover me, I call a friend, he says he can feed my cats, I ask Peter if he would like to drive all the way, he says sure. It was an exercise in spontaneity. All I had were the clothes on my back and my car. Peter was going anyway, so he said he would pay the expenses down. We went through Jaurez, Chijuajua,Zacatekas, Aguas Calientes, Toluka, to Taxco. I spent 3 days in Taxco and a friend of mine there, Jiero asked how I was getting back? I said "That's the riddle" He asked if I could give him a ride to Juarez because he needed to buy a car there and he couldn't drive a car up because he needed to drive a car back. I said sure.I asked if he would like to do the western route and he agreed. Of course he will pay all the expenses because he had to go anyway. So we go to Acapulco,Zhijuatanejo, Up my favorite part of the Mexican Coast from Playa Azul to Monzanillo Bay, then to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and on up to Guaymas, then inland to Hermasillo, Naco, where we had dinner with a friend of ours Valentine and Sonya, who came accross the border from Bisbee. Jiero can't come into the states, but he knows Valentine well. Valentine and Jiero and I have travelled around Mexico before, so we finished off a bottle of Tequila with Valentine and Sonya and then later went on down this crazy road to Juarez. We got Jiero a Minivan, a very nice Dodge Caravan, 80,000 miles for 2700 dollars There are really good deals on used cars in Juarez. He went South, I went North, I got home to Santa Fe (Glorieta) on the 12th, today. I spent $50.00 and everyone was happy, it was an all around win win.

i TOOK A PLEA OF GUILTY FOR A TWO YR OLD DUI,.....BUT FEELS SO GOOD TO BE DONE WITH COURT....NO DRIVING FOR A YEAR SO ALL BEWARE....ILL BE HERE FOR A YEAR STRAIGHT!! YA NO BEER EITHER

I officially started my final semester of nursing school. I graduate as an RN on May 2. I had class M, T, and W, then on Thursday I got sick, went to the doc, and was told that I have mono, tonsilitis, and strep throat. I am now lying in bed, loopy off of meds and lack of sleep. I havent eaten in 3 days because it feels like I am swallowing razorblades.
BUT! other than that...pretty uneventful week. lol

I have worked 48 thus far this week, with today and tomorrow left to go.....means I will have put in 72 hours! Woot!

Congragulations on that final semester Madi..I graduated May 06, so I KNOW what you are going through...heal up, and Good Luck!
OOps..on topic, I quit my job as a rehab nurse cuz I have two little boys and havent seen them for weeks..Im gonna have to take a nursing home job... only way to get first shift as a nurse. 2nd doesnt cut it with kids, and I cant do third! So my week? Relaxing, updating my resume and NO WORK! Whoo HOO!

I just found out that Comanche Moon aires tomorrow night and tuesday and wednesday night. It's a 3 part movie made for television. I am in the background in a few scenes. Light beige pants brown leather jacket,hat with long blonde hair. I was on the set 2 summers ago and it is finally coming out! It's been a good week.
