For those new to the site, I have assembled a list of some of the terms we use as a sort of "shorthand" --

Amicuteitis -- A medical condition in which the sufferer will die without repeated insincere assurances that he/she is attractive.

Narcoposter -- Anyone who makes pointless posts, of interest to absolutely no one, usually involving narrating the ongoing events of one's day, i.e., "I need to go to the bathroom now" or "Oh, my garbage can just fell over."

Machodroolia -- A condition in which male posters make lame and feeble attempts to impress attractive female posters by displaying nonexistent writing skills.

TPAYroll -- To proliferate a "the person above you" thread.

Duokleptics -- Two people who hijack an existing thread and use it to carry on an extended conversation (ignoring anyone else who attempts to deal with the actual topic) that would be more suitably taken to private e-mail.

Apostrophobia -- A condition in which the sufferer is afraid to use apostrophes correctly, as in, "I sent three e-mail's to girl's who never replied."

Nofile -- A typical informationless attempt at an actual profile.

Metaphornicate -- To make extremely lame sexual allusions in a thread where it makes no sense to do so, other than as juvenile titillation.

Posterbored -- A person who repeatedly posts complaints about being bored, and who is sufficiently lazy and unmotivated as to expect other people to care, and to address the issue.
