i think my ex is starting to harass me.......he's sent me six letters all at once..........all of them saying that we're meant to be together and all that bullshtick............he understood when i left back in october that we were over.........i wrote him a letter stating exactly why we were over and i've talked to him stating why we were over (he's a little forgetful)...........now he's going around telling everyone that he sent me down to my dad's because he wanted to make sure i got the things i needed and i could get back on my own two feet.........that we're still together but like taking a break from each other..........he's also told me he's quit drinking but yet told a dear friend of mine that nothing is going to make quit..........he also said he had his own place, but yet he's been taken in by some guy who's feeling sorry for him...........grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr why is this happening to me?????????????????????????

Tear the letters up & pitch them.
He knows how to wotk you. You need to be sure YOU change, otherwise you will repeat the same actions. That is what he is counting on. BE STRONG. |

Hun some people do not know how to deal with being alone, or like it. And rather then except it they will make any excuse as not to have to deal with the reality of it all. As some are not sure how to deal with it. But the more you talk to him and answer his mails, the more likely he will remain in contact with you.
You already told him it was done, so stop emailing and answering his mails, or he will not stop.As he will continue to try and win you back. I know it is hard but you have to be strong. And it will take time, but he will eventually stop, when he realizes that you are not playing his game any longer, and will not answer his mails . If he calls then let the answering machine get it. Best wishs dear and please stay firm with this or it will never end.. Hugs |

he's startin to freak me out tho...........i do NOT want to be with him anymore. IT ISNT THAT SIMPLE THOUGH...a lot of men who have been raised by tyranical fathers feel that women are thiers to possess,my advice..no one has the right to live in a state of fear or opression..so you get the law after him, restraing orders might do it... |

I had that problem with an ex.
I completely ignored him and he would not stop. I changed my number and I moved. He still found me. I kept ignoring him. I ended up having to get a civil stalking protection order. He violated it twice. He currently resides at the county jail. I hope your ex does not go to that extreme and you do not have to deal with the nightmare I went through. Take his letters and have someone else write "addressee does not reside here return to sender" on them and drop them back into the mailbox. I suggest someone else writing it as he will know your hand writing. If the subject of your ex comes up with any of your friends tell them you are over it and do not wish to ever hear his name or anything about him again. It doesnt matter what he is saying to anyone. That is just him attempting to make himself feel better and a poor attempt to degrade you. You should be the better person and ignore ALL of it. No matter how you feel on the inside. |

I'm in a weird predicament too. It's always seems easier to say to someone else. I would start acting very boring, just bore the heck out of him; in the hopes he'd give up. If that does't work.. sorry but sounds like you have a stalker problem. Just be careful to repeat the post below. Some stalkers can be so obsessed they become dangerous.

Id go to jail for one last look at you too! Your beautiful. |

If you get anymore letters from him have them returned as undeliverable. Dont talk to him or have any contact with him at all. That includeds explaining to him why you broke up in any shape or form, letters, phone or in person. As someone else said. DONT TALK TO FRIENDS ABOUT HIM! That will always get back to him and just feed him along. No link between the two of you shoudl exist at all. (thats why the letters shoudl be returned as undeliverable by the post office)

It's best to shut the bad men out, for good and for ever. If they refuse to stop bothering you, keep a log, since then it becomes harrassment. After that, stalking. There are laws in place, now, to protect people from stalkers.

For the record, I was stalked by a psycho when I lived in Michigan, and he was one reason I moved out of state. He wasn't even someone I dated. It was an ex-friend's estranged husband. He stalked my family and tried to kill her, so I've learned about what a nightmare stalking is, first hand.
