I'm in kind of the same situation, I'm friends with a guy with a gf, and she's really bad for him and I really like him. And he knows it. But we're just friends, I figure it's up to him to decide who he wants to be with, I'm just there for him. If and when she gets tired of the bf, maybe she'll look around for you, but I wouldn't press it, friendships are more valuable. :)

From the female perspective...
I am the one who is always "just a friend". I have seen my friends go through rough patches with their relationships and then have someone else come into their lives. If you are her friend, voice your concerns. Express your concern about her boyfriend coming home drunk. She may see who truly cares for her. I would value your friendship first. |

Just tell her. If she rejects you, it doesn't hurt as long as it does keeping it to yourself. If she dumps her b/f for you (not saying she will, but it's possibly), then you didn't steal her. She made the choice to leave him.
