I went to see Van Halen on their Right Here Right Now tour. Vince Neil opened up. I was on the last row on the lawn. In between acts, I proceeded to make my way down and made it to the front row where, Eddie sat down on the monitor in front of me and did his entire solo.

I went to a steppenwolf concert in a park in suburban Chicago okay I'm kind of guy that gets as close to the stage as humanly possible so that I can watch the guitar players hands and try to learn that particular day I found myself standing at the steps to the stage next to a very large security guard we talked for a little while enjoyed the music and all the sudden he started doing the pee pee dance and finally he couldn't take it anymore he says hey man can I trust you I said that all depends LOL what do you need he told me that if he didn't make it to the bathroom soon that he would be needing a diaper change so to speak he said could you watch my post and I was thrilled that the prospect so what he did is he said all you got to do is stand here and look important and whatever you do do not let anyone on this stage does not wearing one of these and then he proceeded to take off his backstage identification and I promised him that I would perform that duty as well or better than he had well he was gone for close to an hour but in that time steppenwolf took a break and went to their bus roughly 20 minutes later they returned from their break and I stood at the entrance to the stage blocking the stairs and David cave walks up to me and just looked at me expecting me to move out of his way I said I'm sorry but I cannot let you on the stage he shot a pair of laser beams at me and said don't you know who I am I said of course I do Mr k I've loved your music for years thank you very much I know who you are but I still cannot let you on the stage he started to get a little pissed off and I says I was told when I was put to this post by no means whatsoever was I to allow anyone on this stage that's not wearing one of these and I grab the backstage pass around my neck I should but you are not wearing one of these therefore I cannot allow you on the stage but he started getting a little angry and then I winked at him and smiled I can't really repeat what he said he called me a male child of a female dog and then he turned around to the drummer who was standing behind him and said man we need more dudes like this out here on the road he said I almost feel #&$@ing safe we all had a good laugh he thanked me for doing such a good job and offered me a drink out of the large cooler that was behind the stage it was full of beer and pop and wine and you name it I had me a Pepsi and eventually the real security guard came back I gave him back his pass and they played Born to be wild and I would bet to this day that if you ask David k about that evening he would remember
