This sad story reminds me of when John McCain suspended his campaign during the 2008 financial crisis--he wanted us all to talk about that one thing. Here in reality, though, many things happen, all over the place and Biden-Harris 2024 need not suspend their fundraising because Trump visits the wake for a NYPD officer (despite cheering as 140 Capitol Police got beat up in 2021 by his supporters).
