ya know, even though I know what I'm doing...I generally play the "dumb girl" card and get a guy to do it for me...

CHA-CHING!! WE HAVE A WINNER! Now thats a SMART woman move there! bigsmile drinker laugh flowerforyou

I'll have you to know I changed the starter on this truck, it wasn't easy but saved me a ton of money. I also keep the oil checked, transmission fluid, water, and even change a tire.

Don't get me wrong. Not saying ANYTHING BAD about you! Just the "dumb girl act" is a GREAT way for a woman to get lots of guys to give them help for FREE! laugh drinker

And a starter is not going to cause you to possibly say "OH SH*T!! I CAN'T STOP..NO BRAKES!!! noway So just be REAL CAREFUL with that part. If your starter goes out, you just can't start the truck. Your brakes go out..and you can't STOP the truck...much BIGGER problem. flowerforyou

Hi Trueyflowerforyou

I know this doesn`t pertain to the thread discussion.

But I guess I missed it on the truck question last nightbigsmile

My advice on your truck problem. take it to a mechanic you can trust, and have them check it out,,,Brakes ain`t nothing to play with.

umm as ase master tech id advise you to call your friendle ford dealer with the vin number....and see if the recall for the cruise switch applys to this truck and if its been done.....that thingy as you described is a switch to deactivate the cruise control when you apply the brakes.....and that is under a recall for leaking......ohh and causing wiring harness fires when it shorts out......have a beautiful daydrinker

I move here to Tahlequah in June and since then things I have had stolen;
My trash can
Lawnmower
Gas Can
Magnents off my truck
and know telling what else if I were to look around.

People will steal anything, but now messing with my ride. That is the last straw. I will hide in the bushes with my shot gun and blow a hole in that sucker.. laugh laugh

My brake light has been on for the last two days. Well, open the hood and there is brake fluid everywhere and the container is bone dry. I don't know what you call it, the line that runs from the container, it's a little thingy that screws on and has a plug for the brake lights is leaking the fluid (at least it looks like it). My question is; Will I have to buy the whole assmebly? And can I do this myself?

I drive 95 Ford F-350 1 Ton it has a 460 engine.

sounds like master cylinder.!!

I think that is what they were trying to steal. The main line running to it was almost unscrewed but they couldn't get it off for some reason. It's around the plug and it screws onto a bolt. Thank you for your response.
