Try to be less nice. That's my ticket to avoiding the friend zone.

I think this idea of labelling something as "friend zone" is kind of pissy. Is there any reason why you should give up ALL respect you have for someone just because they dont want to go further with you in a personal relationship? I value what I have with people I meet, at all levels. Why shouldn't I?

While I realize the objective is "dating" many times, I need to get acquainted with someone first enough that I could trust them as a friend.

Act like you're better then the girl your talking to. Tell her you're a ten and she's lucky your bothering to talk to her at all.

Lex, you're not in the "ignore zone" - you just need to step out from behind the llama. He blocks your line of vision now and then.

Starting out as friends doesn't have to be bad, it can turn around and you can become more than friends. We can all use friends, at least I think so.

Well they say your friends make the best mates so if someone is putting you in the friend zone maybe you have been promoted and just don't know it. Be patient and treat your friends like the treasures they are and eventually when you least expect it you may be the lover of choice. Not a bad gig if you get it.

Bump that noise. Nothing good ever came from the friend zone.

Seriously, this is the best site I've seen for making friends. Even the ones that bill themselves as "friend sites" don't have the same caliber of people as JSH.

But as far as moving past the "friend" designation here -- everybody who wanted to date me is FAR away -- I'm talking "alternate universes and parallel dimensions" far away -- and LDRs never worked for me.

Before Gem came back, I tried talking to some of the locals, and I might as well have been talking to the cereal aisle at the grocery store.

I think this place is good stuff. Unlike the stupid friend zone.
