It has recently come to my attention that, even though I may not talk or see the majority of people I've met in my life, a good amount of them have left a mark.

If I am not able to talk to someone I was close for a long time because... of well, anything.... I would not be sad.
I could be happy that the person was in my life.

This does not mean that everyone leaves a mark.
There are some that are more influential in a way.

I am not sad to look back and realize that I am probably never going to see someone again, or maybe I will never be as close to them as I once was.
And why?
The people who've made an impact on my life have given me the opportunity to see a new reality; to experience something you never thought you could; and to feel things you may have never felt before.

There are even those I do not care much for anymore, but I appreciate the time that they were in my life.
They may have made my reality blissful or they may have made it terrible. Either way, I learn. I experience something new.

People will come and go all of the time in your life.
A lot of people will be non-existant.
Some will leave a mark.
And only a few will truly change you.

Allow your mind to remain open when meeting a new person.
Chances are, the new person is going to have an impact on you.
