Topic: What is God | |
---|---|
In monotheistic thought, God is the creator, and principal object of faith. God is omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, and omnibenevolent, as well as having an eternal existence.
God uses no preexisting material to create the universe. God's act of creation causes matter, space, time, and even the very laws which govern the universe to exist. Regardless of the scientific explanations of 'how' it came to be, God, in one divine action from all of eternity, creates and sustains all that exists. God is more than person; God is superperson, superpersonality, supreme consciousness, and superintellect. God is a person and has these qualities without the human limitations. God is an intellect which is not limited or finite, not faulty or corrupted. Human beings are biologically male and female, but not God, because the divine does not have a body. The application of masculine and feminine gender to the divine is simply metaphorical and grammatical. God is spirit who is both male and female and neither. God doesn't have a measurable height like people do because he doesn't have a physical body, because the Bible teaches that God is spirit. God is omnipresent, meaning that he is everywhere. The Catechism of the Catholic Church, Book 239, states that God is called "Father", while his love for man may also be depicted as motherhood. However, God ultimately transcends the human concept of sex, and "is neither man nor woman: He is God." As The Catechism of the Catholic Church says: "God is neither man nor woman: He is God". God becomes a subject of metaphysics because God is a being. Of all possible subjects of metaphysics 'God' supposits for the most perfect and thus is afforded the position of the first subject of metaphysics by the pri- macy of perfection. In Western (Christian) thought, God is traditionally described as a being that possesses at least three necessary properties: omniscience (all-knowing), omnipotence (all-powerful), and omnibenevolence (supremely good). In both Buddhism and Hindusim religions adhere to the same gods. Hinduism is a religion with various Gods and Goddesses. Three Gods rule the world. Brahma: the creator; Vishnu: the preserver and Shiva: the destroyer. These gods were in many forms such as, human or animal and each has his own family. Hindus goal is to become free from the law of karma. Lord Vishnu did his job of preserving the world by incarnating himself in different forms at times of crisis. These gods are acknowledged in Buddhism and viewed with a subordinate stance. Buddhism does not believe in a god (Buddha is not a god). Buddhists do not worship any gods or God. |

1) There is no god
Unlike Hinduism or other eastern religions, Buddhism does not have a central god. That doesn’t mean that they’re opposed to a god, it just means they have no reason to have a god. 2) Buddha is not worshiped Though every Buddhist understands and is grateful for the message that Buddha brought, they understand that he is a man just like them. Though some in Hinduism consider him an incarnation of Vishnu (Krishna), most Buddhists don’t share that view. 3) Anyone can be a Buddha One of the most remarkable things about Buddhism is that it’s so accessible. “Buddha” is just a title given to Siddhartha Gautama for his mastery over himself. This means he successfully attained enlightenment- something anyone can do. 4) Everyone takes ownership Buddha, or any other enlightened being, is not a savior like in Christianity. Just because you believe in the teachings doesn’t mean you’ll be protected from anything; you have to follow the philosophy to find true happiness. 5) Buddhism exists without Buddha Siddhartha Gautama shared his findings with the world as universal truths, not exclusive philosophies saved for those that are “followers”. He’s not the creator or a prophet; just a truth seeker. 6) Our origin is irrelevant While most religions busy themselves with tales of creation and the universe, Buddhism doesn’t care at all. Why? Because the most important thing is the ever-present now, and working on ourselves in the moment. That means letting go of the past and the future. 7) The “bad guy” is suffering Many religions have an ultimate bad guy- that is, someone like satan- that terrorizes or encourages evil acts. In Buddhism, the evil of something is measured by how much it produces suffering. The biggest cause of suffering is the ego, the concept that we’re separate from everything else. When ignorance ends, true happiness begins. 8) Reality is based on perception There’s not so much a belief of heaven and hell (although some sects do believe that) as much as there is an understanding that by shifting our awareness to a higher level of consciousness, we are changing our reality. That perspective is everything to the practitioner. 9) It’s open to change Every Buddhist is dedicated to one thing only: the pursuit of truth. If it were found that someone the Buddhist teachings were incorrect, the teachings and philosophies would have to change. It’s not a rigid system by any means. 10) Beliefs are not controlled While it’s true the majority of Buddhist practitioners believe in reincarnation, many do not. They’re allowed to believe in whatever they wish while they practice the teachings. No one is forced to do anything! |

The Bible;
James 2:19 ESV / You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder! Colossians 1:16 ESV / For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. The Quran; "Say (O Muhammad) He is God the One God, the Everlasting Refuge, who has not begotten, nor has been begotten, and equal to Him is not anyone." |

The true God says of Himself, ' I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life.' The false god of the quran says of himself, 'allah is the greatest of the deceivers.' (quran 8:30) The Verse number is wrong. It is (Quran 3:54). The translation is wrong too. The Google translate it as: ‘And they plotted, and God plotted, and God is the best of planners .(54)’ The verse talks about the Prophet Jesus. God said: And they plotted, meaning the infidels of the children of Israel, from whom Jesus sensed disbelief, that is, they wanted to kill him, so that was the plot of the children of Israel. As for God’s deception: Casting the likeness of Jesus on others and raising Jesus to him, and that is because when the Jews gathered to kill Jesus, he entered the house fleeing from them, so Gabriel raised him from the window to the sky, and the king of the Jews said to a man among them whose name was Judah: Enter and kill Jesus, so he entered the peach, and he was not found Jesus there. God cast on Judas the likeness of Jesus, and when he came out, they saw him in the likeness of Jesus, and killed him and crucified him. Then they said: His face resembles the face of Jesus, and his body resembles the body of our friend. If this is our companion, then where is Jesus, and if this is Jesus, then where is our companion? Then a fight took place between them, so they killed each other. That is what the Almighty says: And they plotted, and God plotted. The Quran said: ‘And when Jesus sensed their faithlessness, he said, ‘Who will be my helpers toward Allah?’ The Disciples said, ‘We will be helpers of Allah. We have faith in Allah, (52). Our Lord, we believe in what You have sent down, and we follow the apostle - Jesus , so write us among the witnesses.’ (53) Then they plotted [against Jesus], and Allah also devised, and Allah is the best of devisers. (54). When Allah said, ‘O Jesus, I shall take you[r soul], and I shall raise you up toward Myself, and I shall clear you of [the calumnies of] the faithless, and I shall set those who follow you above the faithless until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me will be your return, whereat I will judge between you concerning that about which you used to differ. (55)’ |

God is the one and only divine being who has existed anywhere at any time.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
On 25 December each year, plenty of people celebrate the moment when "the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us." Each year when it is Springtime in the northern hemisphere, plenty of people celebrate the time when God-in-the-flesh was crucified, died and buried, after which he rose from his tomb. To Messianic Jews, God-in-the-flesh is known as Y'shua. To Messianic non-Jews, God-in-the-flesh is known as Jesus. |

The bible is quite clear about this. Apparently very few study the bible to decern truth from the traditions and doctines of men. |

You're right. God didn't create the universe outside of him. Because he is omnipresent and all ENCOMPASSING, he created the universe inside of him. Like we create worlds and people inside our minds to interact with. And because everything is inside of him an a part of him, his presence exists in all of you. And because you are inside of him, God is also in you.

Psalm 145:18, ESV
‘’The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.’’ Psalm 34:18, ESV ‘’The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. God Is Always Near Me. To be near God is my happiness.’’ It is revealed in several verses of the Qur'an that Allah enfolds everywhere. God says; ‘’Indeed, ˹it is˺ We ˹Who˺ created humankind and ˹fully˺ know what their souls whisper to them, and We are closer to them than ˹their˺ jugular vein.’’ |

How Big God Is?
When Scripture tells us about the power, wisdom, and eternal nature of God, how else could we describe him? The Bible says; Isaiah 40:28 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. The FSB says that the phrase “creator of the ends of the earth” points back to Isaiah 40:27. It states, “The focus on God as Creator and totally ‘other’ than His creation answers the statements of v. 27. Since God’s ways are unknowable, how can they make such a claim?” We don’t know what God is thinking, so how can we say that he’s not thinking about us? Psalm 147:5 Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure. Deuteronomy 10:17 For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who is not partial and does not take a bribe. Jack A. Keller says, “The supreme God who is ‘God of all gods’ and ‘Lord of all lords’ has a special interest in the way the community treats its most vulnerable members: widows, orphans, and resident aliens (10:17–19).” The more we recognize how powerful and mighty God is, the more incredible it is that He cares for us personally. The Quran says; ‘’Allah [God], there is no god except He, the Living, the Everlasting. Neither dozing, nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth. Who is he that shall intercede with Him except by His permission! He knows what will be before their hands and what was behind them, and they do not comprehend anything of His Knowledge except what He willed. His Seat embraces the heavens and the earth, and the preserving of them does not weary Him. He is the High, the Great.’’ |
