God sent Prophets to inform people of the teachings of heaven. Some people believed, others rejected the invitation, accused the Prophets of lies and pretension, mocked them and fought them by all means.
Among the deniers are the people of Aad and Thamood. They lived in Hadhramaut and were physically and financially strong and physically urban. They built beautiful palaces and court castles, especially in high places. And they were fierce fighters, so they became arrogant because of their abilities and their material glory, until they thought that they were better than everyone else, and that their strength was invincible, and that is why they lied the messengers and fought their prophet “Hud”.
God said; ’And in Aad. We let loose on them a withering wind that left nothing it came upon, except that it was ashes.’
‘And in Thamood it was said to them: 'Take your enjoyment for a while! ' But in their pride they turn away from the commandment of their Lord and the thunderbolt struck them whilst they were looking.’
Angels came to Prophet Ibrahim. He asked them: What is your errand?
They replied: 'We are sent to a sinful nation, so that we bring down stones of clay upon them marked by your Lord for the sinful. And to left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment.
God sent Moses to Pharaoh and to the Children of Israel, who were oppressed by Pharaoh and his lords, so it was necessary to free them by going to Pharaoh and calling him to monotheism first; to leave him the children of Israel.
God sent down the Torah to Moses, so that the detailed law would be for all people.
But Pharaoh turned his back with his Assembly, saying: 'He – Moses - is (either) a sorcerer or a mad man!
God said; ‘So We seized him and his hosts and cast them into the sea. Indeed, he was blameworthy.
God taught the Prophet Jesus the Book, the wisdom, the Torah and the Gospel, so that he would be a messenger to the Children of Israel. But the majority did not respond to him, but rather they act against him, and persecuted him physically, even trying to kill him and crucify him.
God said; ‘And before them the nation of Noah, indeed they were a debauched nation.’ Similarly, no Messenger came to those before them but they said: 'Sorcerer, or mad! '. Have they handed this down from one to another? No, rather, they are an insolent nation. So – Muhammed – turn away from them, you shall not be blamed. But remind, the Reminder will benefit the believers. I have not created mankind and jinn except to worship Me.’
‘The evildoers shall have for their portion, a portion like their companions (who were destroyed before them). Therefore, they should not ask Us to hasten! Woe then to the unbelievers for their Day which they were promised! And when the agony of death comes in truth (they will say): 'This is what you have been trying to avoid! ' And the Horn shall be blown; that is the Day of Threat! Each soul shall come with a driver, and a witness. (It will be said): 'Indeed, cast into Gehenna (Hell) every deviating unbeliever, forbidder of good, transgressor and doubter, who has set up with Allah – God – another god. Indeed, you two, cast him into the terrible punishment. '
And his companion – Satan – shall say: 'Our Lord, I did not make him insolent, he was far astray. '
Note; the driver, and a witness are two angels, one would lead the unbeliever to the Hell, and the other would testify against him for what he did in his life of good and evil.

The nature of man is that he believes what he touches with his senses directly. Therefore, it is difficult for him to believe some unseen phenomena. That is why people did not believe the Prophets easily, and some believed after seeing the miracles that the Prophet showed, yet some were stubborn and accused the Prophet of lying and witchcraft.
It happened with philosophers and scientists too. For example, the Greek philosopher Eratosthenes was an influential figure in many fields. In 250 BC, he proved that the Earth is spherical. Nevertheless, his critics despised him.
In the Catholic world, the majority of the educated community believed in Aristotle's view that the Earth is the center of the universe, and that all celestial bodies revolve around the Earth. The geocentric theory agreed with the literal interpretation of the sacred texts in a number of places, so the religious authority supported this theory.
Nicolaus Copernicus was a Polish monk, philosopher, astronomer and physician, one of the greatest scientists of his time, and the first to formulate the heliocentric theory in 1543 and the formation of the Earth as a body in its orbit.
In 1610, Galileo adopted the heliocentric theory. But the Catholic Church opposed him, telling Galileo to stop believing, teaching or defending these ideas. But he continued to advocate heliocentrism, and gained wide popularity.
During this controversy, Galileo learned from his friend, the painter Ludovico Cardi, that a group of malicious adversaries were planning to make up problems about the motion of the Earth, or anything else that might disturb Galileo. One of the group asked a Christian priest to publicly deny Galileo's ideas from the pulpit, but the priest refused. However, another priest, Tommaso Caccini, did so some three years later.
The Roman Catholic Inquisition tried Galileo in 1633 and sentenced him to prison until he died in 1642.

Einstein's theories of relativity faced fierce opposition. One critic claimed he was attempting to subvert the scientific method.
Who criticized Albert Einstein?
One of them was Charles Lane Poor, an esteemed astronomer and professor of celestial mechanics at Columbia University and large scholars outside academia such as Patschke who claimed, in numerous pamphlets published during the 1920s, to have refuted Einstein's theory of relativity. Their accounts were situated in the context of worldviews such as monism, the naturalist-inspired Lebensreform movement, and occultism.

J. Edgar Hoover, the first director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, promoted a letter from the Woman Patriot Corporation accusing Einstein of left-wing radicalism and imploring the government to bar him from entry to the United States. Hoover accused Einstein of being pro-Soviet.

Edgar Hoover was deeply suspicious of Einstein's activism; the man was quite possibly a communist, according to Hoover, and was certainly “an extreme radical.” Einstein himself probably would have laughed out loud at those labels if he'd known about them; he'd heard far worse from the Nazis back home.

God said; ‘Therefore, turn away [Muhammed] from them. Is there any that will remember? How then were My punishment and My warnings!’

Genesis 25) 22. And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to inquire of the Lord. 23. And the Lord said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger. 24. God said; ‘And when Moses, said to his nation: 'Why do you harm me, when you know that I am the Messenger of Allah – God – sent to you? 'But when they swerved away Allah caused their hearts to swerve. Allah never guides impious people. And when (Prophet) Jesus, the son of Mary said: 'Children of Israel, I am sent to you by Allah to confirm the Torah that was before me, and to give news of a Messenger (Prophet Muhammad) who will come after me whose name shall be Ahmad. 'Yet when he came to them with clear proofs, they said: 'This is clear sorcery.'
‘Believers, be the helpers of Allah. When (Prophet) Jesus, the son of Mary said to the disciples: 'Who will be my helpers unto Allah? 'The disciples replied: 'We will be the helpers of Allah. 'A party of the Children of Israel believed, and a party disbelieved. So, We supported those who believed against their enemy, and they overcame.’

The likeness of those who were loaded with the Torah, but did not carry it, is like that of a donkey carrying books. Evil is the example of the people who have belied the verses of God. God does not guide the evildoers.
