I didn't realize women said that, but it sounds like they think most men enjoy fishing and they want to find some common ground, thereby appearing more appealing to the men. As for me, I'll never say that. I don't want to go fishing, don't want to smell fish, clean fish, cook fish or eat fish. So in sum, that's a hard no on fishing from me. I'm a girly-girl. i know a girly girl who can't wait to put a leech on a hook ....
but yesh ... generally a 120 lbs woman is afraid of a one ounce leech or a one ounce worm ... beats the hell outta me !!!! |

It's the worm thing!   I've baited my hooks down here in the Keys, but it was with dead shrimp or small bait fish that didn't move. If it moves or is slimy 🤢 he's gotta bait it for me 🤪 Okay, so for you won't touch something slimy, not necessarily a fear then, just gross ? A little of both, lol. I'll kiss an alligator, let a tarantula crawl up my arm, and pick up a snake... but worms and leeches give me the creeps, lol. |

I enjoy fishing as it is a family thing, and I do bait the hook, but cleaning the fish? I would very much like not to do it
 I guess everyone has some kind of “no go”? Usually the men in my family clean them, and the women cook. It’s just our silent pact, I don’t want to clean, but I want to be fair, so i will cook it (as i like to cook, so it’s a win-win)

There are people who do fly fishing. People who do catch and release. I actually don't like eating fish.

It's that time of year to start planning fishing  trips. Wouldn't hurt to have a female companion for a week at the cabin, do some fishing, drink some beer and maybe go to the nearby Northern Lights casino!
