I don't think you need counseling. Heck, it took me 5 years to get over one guy and about 7 to get over another, and I'm far from "crazy." Everyone is different and we all deal with things that hurt us in different ways. I'm sorry this happened to you, but I do agree with the people who told you it's for the best; if you just wanted friendship with her, it wouldn't have mattered, but since you wanted her as a gf, it wouldn't have worked.
