when i was young and on my own i remember what it felt like to be alone
always trying to find something to do to pass the time so i wouldn't half to feel
now I'm feeling that way again
knowing where i have been
remembering what it was like to feel alone
now lovers will come and go
some you hardly know
and others you'll never forget
and heartbreak can take its toll
leaving you alone
with only your feelings and thoughts to keep you company
and when the hard times come i always want to turn and run
and deal with fallout down the road
and when the good times are gone thats when part time lovers move on
in search of another
once in love always a lover
looking for that heart to call home
and all your left with are the memories of days gone by
and that feeling of being alone
O i know that feeling all to well
the long days
and the lonely nights
once in love always be a lover.
