Truthfully how many of you have genuinely lonely nights? And how do you encourage yourself to be strong enough to get through them? thanks ya'll ~Sam~

Sometimes I can turn in for the night, often with a book, and I'm alright.

But sometimes I just want to turn and cuddle. It's not the lack of sex that bothers me so much at that time (though it does get to me) but the closeness, having someone to hold.

I can cope being single and I've been single for three years now. But, increasingly, being single turns into being alone and I don't like that.

Oddly enough, although I have always enjoyed morning cuddles, I don't feel lonely when waking up. I get up without that ache.

Lonely nights? As in evenings I gather.
That's what interests and hobbies are for :)

Depending on the weather going for a walk, watching the full moon, reading, doing a card reading and/or recording one for my YouTube channel, watching a series or movie, and whatnot.

In a way I'm so used to doing these things that'd be an adjustment if and when I have a partner.
Not because I've been single for so long, but in a way have had that routine for a long time, including in a long-term relationship.

So the last time I lived the 'sitting on the settee together' kind of life is almost 20 yrs ago. My last long term partner wasn't that kind of type so you develop another life-style.
I felt more lonely and alone in that 10 yr relationship than I do now on my own :)

To be honest, I never feel lonely. I miss my parents in Germany, and I will move over in the next 12 months, but this doesn't mean loneliness to me.

I have my four cats, they are my lifeline. And quite recently, I discovered digital arts. That alone keeps me busy enough.
