why do people judge other people , if they smoke ? i smoke and im trying to quit but it's hard to do ! if you read profile's on here they have posted must not smoke ? how can you judge a person because they smoke ? it's like judging some one because they blonde hair , i dont know ?????

I don't judge you because you smoke. I quit for 15 years, and thru divorce I started up again. I'm not happy about it and would love to quit again. If people judge it...just move on and don't let it bother you. Lifes all about choices.

Everyone judges everyone else. It's human nature to categorize and to categorize in one's mind, one must make a judgement to order that information.

Sorry to say it's human nature; there is no way to be unbiased or impartial.

However...smoking...I truly don't know... :)

Because people that don't smoke can smell everything you wear, your hair, your breathe, they all reak of smoke. And to be honest, I wouldn't prolly like being around someone that smoke and I didn't. But I smoke and dont give a ****, if they have a problem with it, its their loss.

I don't think it's about judging someone. My daughter has asthma really bad and no one can smoke around her. If I fell in love with someone who smokes it would be real hard to get involved with them and to tell them not to smoke. That wouldn't be fare to them. I am just up front about it!!!

Nah, thats not usually the reason. Smoke is harmful to the health and it stinks. I smoked for MANY years..and was the hardest battle in my life to quit, but now..well on the 1st, will be 2 years no smoking!

So for health and smell reasons, that would eliminate you as a possible date for some.

Think of a woman that has body odor..she stinks. You want to date her??? I wouldn't.

It's all about choices, we all have them, and some people can't stand the smoke and stink of cigarettes, I know, I was married to a hard core smoker. It was one of his priorities, and it was one of the reasons we separated. The stench was everywhere.

I've smoked for 21 years, but I've never smoked inside a place I called home. I enjoy cigarettes, but I don't enjoy the stains they leave on everything. So I smoke in nature, nature loves color!

if they dont smoke and dont like it, its probably because they associate smoking with negative outlooks like: "its a disgusting habit and anyone who thinks they are cool are just morons and I want nothing to do with that"

I don't judge people because they smoke. I have never smoked in my life. (ok, once when my brother and I stole a cig from parents and I took a puff or two, gag). It does not make you a bad person, it is a drug I think just like anything else a person gets hooked on. Both of my parents died of smokeing related illness, so that would be my only worry.

I am a severe asthmatic. I have emphasema in my left lung. I have never been a smoker, yet my exposure to pollutants in the air and lung infections caused permanent damage to my lung. I can feel it in my chest the moment I breathe in someones 2nd hand smoke...the tightening, the pain....and I can hear the wheezing and crackling as I exhale. When I was younger, people smoking around me sometimes thought it was funny to blow smoke right in my face and see what happened. They didn't realize their amusement could cause my death. Smokers have a choice whether to smoke or not; people with lung disease have to breathe in whatever air is available to them. I am sorry you feel persecuted for not being able to smoke in some public places in some states, yet I am able to breathe cleanly and clearly while dining, working, attending meetings, etc. for the first time in my life. My children are also asthmatic, and they will hopefully grow up in a world where they are given the opportunity to breathe air that is at least a little less hazardous to their health. They won't have to sit on the sidelines and tolerate ridicule as their mother once did. You have no idea how precious a gift it is to be able to fully inhale and exhale freely, to not be taken to emergency rooms and pumped full of epinephrine and prednisone due to coming into contact with a major trigger like cigarrette smoke. You don't know how troubling it is to be diagnosed as having emphasema, despite the fact you have never smoked. I do. I am not asking any of you to quit for any reason; not for me, yourselves or your families. No, smoke if you must.....just please understand one side of the issue of non-smoking in public places. In my case and that of others like me, it really is a quality AND quanity issue of life.

Well hummmmmmmmm I'm and ex smoker what is worse well those that can't breath due to smoke. I quit due to my grandbaby was born and was on oygen for a week she was coming home to live at my house. My choice was to smoke outside or quit so for her that was an easy choice to make in order for her to breath and not be my smoke she was taking into her lungs.

Yeah since then I have not allowed anyone to smoke in the house even tho she does not live with me anymore she still comes around.

Now do I not date someone that smokes nooooo all I ask is not in my house I cant do much about them smoking in there house and don't say nothing about it either. If they smoke that is there deal not mine I don't judge them for it due to I kmow how hard it is to quit you have to want to first. I have and still will date guys that smoke just be aware when they do roll down the window in the car ect. It would be nice if they did't but not gonna judge them on it shshsh I was smoking 3 packs a day when I quit. So whom am I to judge lol
