I'm hoping to get some honest opinions here. I believe I have stated as clearly as I can just what I am hoping to find here on this app. But, from some of the responses I've received, it appears I'm not "speaking my mind" well enough? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I think you've made yourself loud and clear. If anyone says you're not "speaking your mind" well enough, I think those people are the ones who don't know what THEY want!

What you think is more important,

I like your profile and you’ve clearly stated what it is you’re looking for.

I expect the responses you’re talking about are from members who haven’t actually read your profile. Some just open a profile to look at pics without actually reading the text contained within. At least, that’s my experience anyway.

Just a little criticism…perhaps a better profile pic would enhance your profile further or crop the one you have so that you’re in the centre of the pic.

Firstly, your profile photo is really no good the way it shows up as a thumbnail. When seeing the larger version it's okayish, but not the thumbnail. I actually thought it was a man's, it's that unclear!
Profile photo is important, so get another one!

You text is way to much unnecessary story. Get rid of all the stuff that's superfluous, which is most of the first part. Clean it up, prune, and only have in it what's important to a potential new contact.

Next, your write up is one solid block of text. Paragraphs were invented for a reason! Normally wouldn't even bother reading it. When I see that I'm gone, no matter how much the person initially interested me.
If you can't do this on the app then get on the full site, albeit on your phone or PC.

Hmmmmm....such varied responses. And I appreciate them all. Miss Crystal, I totally agree with you. I will work on my paragraphs. And, if I was looking to date...to impress someone....I would be more concerned about my profile picture. That's the simple truth of it. I feel that communication and friendship comes from within. As for saying too much....you're right. But, that's who I am and anyone who chooses to respond should be aware to expect such nonsense. LOL. To repeat, your points are "sparkling" clear and I truly appreciate and will work on them. Yes...people are gonna want what they want. Can't change that. I simply remind a persistent point of view that I have mine and it's all good. I believe that we all would love to have an honest and intimate relationship with another but, physically, 100,000's of miles is a difficult fact to deal with. Friendship is at the top of my list.
