its sad to say many churches dont teach right.

proof back in the witchcraft days who killed most

The Catholic and Protestant churches promoted themselves by persecuting witches

Medieval law codes such as the Holy Roman Empire's “Constitutio Criminalis Carolina” stipulated that malevolent witchcraft should be punished by fire, and church leaders and local governments oversaw the burning of witches across parts of modern day Germany, Italy, Scotland, France and Scandinavia.

The Catholic diocese in the Bavarian city of Eichstätt is finally breaking its silence on the executions, which were among about 25,000 killings – primarily of women – in Germany between the 15th and 18th centuries,

the former pastor, told the newspaper. “Anyone turning their back on the Catholic faith was labeled as being in league with the devil. It worked.”

i am talking about all though history, its sad.
yet they are stronger religious people that do not attend church.

Scott Ball is the Vice President and a Lead Guide with The Malphurs Group. He lives in East Tennessee with his wife and two children. He wrote:
15 Reasons Why Committed Christians Do Not Attend Church
There is a growing body of research revealing that many long-time Christian people are deciding not to attend church services any longer.
We are familiar with the term the “nones” in reference to people with no religious affiliation. However, there is a growing number of “dones,” committed Christians who have given up on church.
Some suggest that people who quit church are not true Christians or they are not being faithful to God. That may or may not be true. Certainly, there are those whom (for whatever reason) have walked away from God and have, therefore, left the Church.
However, many genuine believers are shifting their church attendance patterns. The purpose of this article is to address 15 common reasons committed Christians provide for why they do not attend church services
1. I can get better preaching from a podcast.
2. I can worship on my own.
3. I can study the Bible on my own.
4. I have Christian friends that are my “church.”
5. I have to work on Sundays.
6. I have family obligations on the weekends.
7. I feel like church is boring.
8. I don’t feel like there is a place for my child or teenager.
9. I don’t feel like going to church makes a difference in my life.
10. I don’t know of any “good” churches near me.
11. I’m not sure I believe the same things anymore.
12. I’m offended by the church’s position on sexuality.
13. I’ve been hurt by church members.
14. I don’t trust church leadership.
15. I don’t feel like there is a place for me to lead.

Atheists argue that since religion is just a psychological fantasy, human beings should abandon it so that they can grow to respond appropriately to deal with the world as it is.
Atheists cannot proof that God doesn’t exist. But if God is real, He will send Atheists to the Hell!
Then what they shall do?!

I'm sure if there is such a thing as a truly compassionate "god", she will understand that on the basis of no evidence whatsoever of her existence, there is no need to be harsh on people who find it impossible to believe. After all, what really counts is if we are kind to each other and to animals. I'm not at all surprised that this being does nothing whatsoever to stop a tsunami that kills thousands or what the Russians are currently doing to normal innocent people who are Ukranians. Perhaps if she did something magical to help those citizens, belief in her would increase dramatically!

The Day of God’s Punishment of Man Is at Hand
Many people feel restless and ill at ease
because they have committed atrocious wrongs,
and many feel ashamed of themselves
because they have never performed a single good deed.
Yet there are also many who,
far from feeling disgraced by their sins, go from bad to worse,
completely ripping off the mask concealing their hideous features
—which had yet to be fully exposed—
to test God’s disposition.
God does not care for, nor pay any heed to, the actions of any one person.
Rather, God does the work that He ought to do,
be it gathering information,
or traveling the land, or doing something within God’s interests.
At key times, God proceeds with His work
among man as originally planned,
not a second too late or too soon, and with both ease and dispatch.
However, with every step of God’s work,
some are cast aside,
for God despises their flattering ways
and their feigned subservience.
Those who are abhorrent to God will certainly be forsaken,
whether intentionally or unintentionally.
In short, God would that all whom He despises stay far away from Him.
Needless to say, God will not spare the wicked who remain in God’s house.
Because the day of man’s punishment is near,
God does not hurry to cast out all those despicable souls from God’s house,
for God has a plan of His own.

What Is the Punishment for Sin?
“For the wages of sin is death,” Romans 6:23 tells us. The Bible is very clear; those who sin earn eternal punishment. The holiness of God is like a consuming fire, such that the impure can’t stand in his presence and live (Hebrews 12:29, Exodus 33:20). The holiness and justice of God require that sin be punished and that the sinner be separated from God.

All that stuff about the day being at hand is as old as the hills. Several times the JWs have headed for the hills to wait the day of the coming but surprise, suprise, it never came. None of them would give away their possessions before that day, thus proving to me that they don't truly believe what they claim.

As for the punishment for sin, I see no punishment coming for Putin. Has he not done enough to deserve some 'accident' to end his life?

All the posts warning of dangers according to the Bible are assuming that the Bible is full of correct facts and that there is a god (just one of them). The Bible is actually just a lot of fairly tales.

My grandfather was a vicar and he used to love winding up the JWs when they called at his house. Their style is to quote something from the Bible but my granfather would always reply with another quote which said the exact opposite. That always confused them. Truth is, the Bible is so full of contradictions you can use it to quote anything you like - as believers always do.

If your viewpoint is that there is no such thing as a 'god', then all these dire threats become meaningless.

In my humble opinion we are just animals who will be as dead as your dog or cat when we die. It is just an exaggerated sense of our own importance that leads to the inability to accept that when we're dead we're nothing more than memories in the minds of the people who knew us. For me, that is not a problem.

I wish believers the best of luck in living with people like Putin on this planet. flowerforyou

Humans are not just like animals
There are a number of things that make us human and separate us from animals. One is our ability to self-analyze and engage in mental time travel. We can also imagine different scenarios and reason abstractly. Additionally, we have established cultures with rules and moral codes. Finally, our brain functions allow us to learn rapidly and make decisions based on more than just survival instincts.
Scientists discussed how understanding of the structure of the universe, and of its dimensions, age, and formation, has greatly changed our idea of the cosmic role of mankind. Considering that the observable Universe is billions of light years in extent, billions of years in age, including hundreds of billions of galaxies, many with hundreds of billions of stars, we certainly realize our meager role in the development of this vast world. Indeed, at first glance it might seem that humans, or even life itself here on the Earth, make no difference to the Universe. However, there is one perspective that seems to give sentient life strange cosmic significance. Only a sentient, intellectual species can become aware of the universe and understand its natural rules and regularities. It seems that through thinking, self-aware species the Universe becomes aware of itself!
Christians believe that only humans have souls and this is what makes people unique and special and different to all other life forms. The soul is sometimes described as the spiritual element of humans.

Islam teaches that human beings are a unique life form that was created by God in a special way, with unique gifts and abilities unlike any other: a soul and conscience, knowledge, and free will. .

God said:
On that Day We shall gather a crowd from every nation of those who belied Our verses, so they are gathered. When they have come, He will say: 'Did you belie My verses, although you knew nothing, or what was it you were doing? ' And the Word shall fall upon them because of the evil they committed, and they shall be speechless.

The period of sending prophets and presenting direct evidence of the existence of God has ended. The Day of Resurrection will come to hold all the sinners accountable and to honor the believers.

When I said humans are just like animals I was of course referring to what happens at death. I agree with almost everything in your post, we are far more 'clever' than any animal, none of whom could put their kind in a spaceship, send them to the moon and walk upon it. Christians and Islam are not satisfied that that is all there is to it. They add myths and fairy tales due to their inability to accept what life really is.

There is no conflict or contradiction between religion and science.
In general, we find those who reject science and worship religion, and those who reject religion and worship material science. Neither of them understood the true meaning of religion or the true meaning of science. The field of science is the matter, and its goal is a physical interpretation of the manifestations of the universe, the discovery of its laws and their formulation with mathematical equations, which is what has produced various inventions for mankind.
However, science, does not answer to questions that lie outside the field of matter, such as those related to the purpose of our existence. Science explains the mechanism of the body’s work and it tells us that the body after death will decompose into elements, but it will not tell us if that is the end of the soul’s journey, or if we have another presence and another life.
Science also does not provide a recipe for the relationship of the individual to society, in other words, science does not provide us with a moral philosophy. There are many questions that science cannot answer, simply because they do not fall within its field of work, and are outside the limits of its ability, and this does not diminish the value of science. On the other hand, religion does not give us mathematical equations that explain the manifestations of the material universe, or research that deals with the specifics of material knowledge and its exact facts. These researches do not fall within the domain of religion.
Rather, religion provides answers to fundamental questions related to the purpose of man’s existence, questions that have preoccupied man since inhabiting caves to this day, and he has always been concerned about them. Religion deals with the spiritual, moral and social aspects of man.
Science will not advise us to honour parents, help the poor, or remove injustice from the weak, as this does not fall within the scope of his interests. Science will tell us that the fission of the atom produces enormous energy, but it will be neutral if we use nuclear energy to sustains the earth, or in the production of a nuclear bomb that destroys the earth, then the function of science ends at the limits of theories and equations and it would not release a moral judgment. This falls within the field of religion and philosophy, which deal with the free will of man.
In the West, there was a violent conflict between science and religion, because the Christian clergy chose to stand in the face of science and suppress it, because it conflicted with their literal interpretation of sacred texts, so the Church set up the Inquisition and burned the scholars and their books, and the scholars could not win the battle until after they were liberated from the authority of the Church. In Islamic civilization, the matter was completely different, because there is no conflict between the Qur’an and the science. There are 1,300 Qur’anic verses that talk about the manifestations of the material universe, and in some verses there are even references to strange cosmic secrets that science discovered recently after unremitting efforts.
The Qur’an made for scholars a rank that distinguishes them from others, said: “Say: Are those who know alike and those who do not know?” He urged the Prophet of Islam to seek knowledge, and he said, according to what was narrated from him: “Seeking knowledge is an obligation for every Muslim man and woman.” And he said in another hadith: “Whoever follows a path in search of knowledge, God will make easy for him a path to Paradise.” He also urged us to take knowledge from other nations. The Prophet of Islam raised the status of the scholar, saying: “The superiority of the scholar over the worshiper is like my superiority over the lowest of you.” And he said in what was narrated about him: “Scholars are the inheritors of the prophets.” He concluded with his prophethood the era of revelation to inaugurate the era of science that inherited the traces of prophecy.
Therefore, it was not strange in Islamic civilization to find scholars who were famous for their understanding of religion and their knowledge of other sciences such as chemistry, mathematics or astronomy. As examples Imam Jaafar al-Sadiq, one of the first great jurists in the history of Islam, was a well-versed scholar in chemistry and wrote a book in which he collected the experience of that era, and conveyed the secrets of this science to his creative student Jaber bin Hayyan, who is considered the true founder of modern chemistry with the recognition of Western scholars.
Europe built its scientific edifice on the legacy of Islamic civilization in its golden ages. Copernicus - for example - based his astronomical theory that revolutionized Europe on the tables and astronomical calculations developed by Muslim astronomers several centuries before him, such as Al-Battani, Al-Zarqali and Ibn Al-Shater. Newton benefited greatly from the writings of Ibn al-Haytham, a Muslim physicist, especially in the field of light and optics. Avicenna's book "The Canon of Medicine" was the medical reference approved in the universities of Europe for centuries, and Al-Zahrawi carried out complex surgeries centuries before the surgeons of Europe. Muslim scholars created new sciences such as pharmacology and algebra, whose bases were derived by Al-Khwarizmi from the Qur’anic verses that talk about inheritance and how it is distributed.
