2pac

Pac was definatly one of the most talented and most misunderstood figures of the hip hop culture. I'm still wonderin' though how you can get shot on vegas strip after a boxing event and not have witness';^]

Yeah you got's to give it up to Biggie and Pac. But they aint got nothin on Rakim. Nas, LL Cool J, Mos Def, Talib, Lupe. They all nice but the south is killing the game. Yall need to check for a cat from hometown named Wale. He nice with his and yall can take my word for it.

I do like more of the old school rap like the 80s Run, Beastie Boys, Big Daddy Kane, Jungle Brothers, Geto Boys and so on. But new cats like Nas, Jada and Jay (new in the since that they were not around in the early 80s) are changing the game. I cannot stand this bs rap that they play now. I don't even listen to the radio any more.

I'm not big with mainstream, there's onyl a handful of mainstream artists I like. Most of them are "Wrappers" not Rappers.

hehe, the game has definatly changed over the years. I remember back in the day, Treacherous Three, Sugarhill Gang, Whodini, Dana Dane, it was like no two groups sounded like the others. I miss those days, but I guess that's what happens with time & evolution of a music. KRS One I think is like the Ben Franklin of hip hop, he said on an interview on "The Art Of 16 Bars" that people are free to qoute his lyrics and sample his songs for the sake of the cultures future. It's the same reason Ben Franklin refused to patent his inventions, KRS One is def. one of hip hops biggest assetts;^]

"Delancy street, this story can't be beat"..lol. Seems like alot of the story telling has been abandoned too, thank god for not just PE & KRS, but the Roots & Mos Def make it easier to continue defending hip hop too. It gets hard to defend all the "skeet skeet"..lol;^]

Check out Young MC's lyrics to 'Bust a Move' online...LOL! Dr. Dre and Snoop Doggy Dogg are great, too.
