I actually met the man a few times through Amy Boylan. I loved to just sit and listen to him speak. Carol was a very interesting person. I wish I would have recorded our visits. opportunities lost to hind sight..

Torque is the power.
Horsepower is a calculation of torque over a period of time.
Horsepower: 1hp equals
33,000 pounds lifted 1foot in
1 minute.

In late model multi-valve pent-roof heads, peak torque & peak power are generally the same readings! For example my lancer 4b12 engine produces 135nm of torque @ 4100rpm & 135kw of power @ 6200rpm so the only real difference between torque & power is piston speed!
