Is it traditional in Pakistan to bury someone within one day of their death? The government is claiming that they did an autopsy and they have now buried her. Supposedly, she wasn't killed by the bullets or the shrapnel, but by the force of the explosion. I think a little more transparency would have been nice.

Sumthing.... I think it should have meaning to everyone and there are more than just Americans on JSH! JMO

Oh I don;t mean any disrespect..as I said before..I feel sorry for the family and friends. But to America it means nothing.

They have been fighting in that region foerever and will continue, no matter who is leader. They had tried many times before to do this..even most of the experts agree..it was only a matter of time. So was not any surprise.

I just don't like seeing Americans getting involved in something they are NOT ALLOWED to win. we have not won a war/conflict since WWII....and why is that??? It's because the USA has been allowing this country to be run by GRRED and IDIOTS. I hate seeing Americans die for someone elses GREED. It's NOT for FREEDOM, it's NOT for AMERICA..so let them kill there own like they have always and WILL always do..lets get Americans out. happy

Yeh and you missed a BIG point here..its also a WAR!!!! Meaning in WAR people DIE! And this one was already FORETOLD!

Now lets see YOU PEOPLE do more than LIP SERVICE!! I CHALLENGE EACH AND EVERY ONE!!! But thats not going to happen.

We have TONS of problems right here in the United States of America, so lets bring our people back and get THIS COUNTRY FIXED and get our incorherant noses out of everyone else's business...especially in such a region as the middle east! They have fought forever and will continue to do so forever! Does NOT take a rocket scientist to see that one!

Oh, and greive so much for this ONE person. What in the HELL are YOU doing for the OVER 500,000+ who have been MURDERED IN COLD BLOOD in Sumalia (sp?) ?? CAN YOU SAY HITLER!!!??? Where is the chant for these people?? You want to pay lips service, at least do it for something for MORE THAN G-DAMM OIL!!! Piss on ANYONE who would kill an American (meaning our soldiers sent thier by OUR government) for MONEY (OIL!) May they burn and rot in hell for making such a sacrafice of these American lives!

Again, sorry to the freinds and family. But this one was already coming and anyone who knew the situation has already said this same thing. The middle east is NOT OUR FIGHT! We are there for ONE REASON...OIL! "Democracy".."freedom" what a LOAD OF TOTAL BS! If you believe it was for "democracy or freedom" then I have ocean front property in Kanasa for sale REAL CHEAP!

Without oil, hundreds of millions of people would die. That's not an exaggeration. If there is any resource in the world that we should go to war over, it's oil. Do you think fairies bring the food to the local supermarket? Do you think most people fly to work on a magic broom?

look at the Kennedy assasination,it took them what,30 minutes to an hour to do a "full autopsy"on him and he was flown back to D.C the same day?

LOL..well since the "flying broom" is broke down..guess they can take thier gas guzzling HUMMER (8-9 MPG) out for a spin, or take it down to the convenient store so they don't have to walk thier fat lazy asses down 3 BLOCKS!

OH!! And lets NOT forget our OWN OIL RESERVES WHICH ARE TREMENDOUS!

So to recap. we have self centered LAZY ASSES, in GAS GUZZLING vehicles and PEOPLE WON'T CONSERVE and TAKE DOWN DEMAND...and we are NOT drilling our own resources, because our government thinks of using forien oil and saving ours for later after thiers runs out! Hmmmm.

Oh and hundred of millions would die??? From what?? Some exercise and taking public transportation a couple times a week?? Another strange happening since humanity has survived and grown fine since the beginning of time..and oil just started playing a role in the last 100 or so years of human existance.

So PLEASE tell me HOW hundreds of millions could die???

To America it means the loss of a friend in a Muslim country. A friend who fought throughout her life against extremists. A woman elected to power in a Muslim country, not once but twice and would have been again.
Also nobody asked for Americans to get involved. So stop with the 'we are tired of being the police to the world' line. Again it affects America in that they have lost a friend in a part of the world where they could could use, need to keep friends.

Agreed there..once again, condolences to the family and friends and to those who supported her.

But now that the moment is over..they will continue to be :unstable" as they have ALWAYS been. the only reason they were a US ally is because WE BOUGHT THEM like so many others, so its not a TRUE ally (like Britain).

So taken in its true form, it will be back to basically the same Pakastan as it has always been, just another "leader" figure, who will be a heavy target from any oppsing sides in that country, which there are MANY.

It doesn't have to stay unstable, I refuse to be that cynical. A stable, free and democratic Pakistan is in americas, and the worlds best interest. I don't care about the oil, that stuff needs to stay in the ground anyway, but the well being of the people is something that should be revered;^]

Please do one thing..find out the actual "facts" regarding this country. It's kinda of like saying Saudi Arabia is our "freind" and "ally".

What do you term as "friend or "ally"? Like with Saudie Arabia, our government terms them as an "ally" yet some 40+% of the rebal forces that go to KILL AMERICAN in IRAQ come from SAUDIE ARABIA!!! How can ANYONE consider them an "ALLY"???

Wow..I guess i just pick my "friends" a bit better and consider an "ally" as a place that does not send 40+% of our country men out to KILL MY FRIENDS!

Without oil...there would be no public transportation. With a limited supply of oil, the price of food and just about every good / service would skyrocket. It's simple economics. If it's $20 a gallon of gas, people are going to suffer. Some people will die of starvation. Some from contaminated water. Some from lack of medical care. Many more from exposure to the elements. World wide? Hundreds of millions is probably an understatement. Our world is very dependant upon oil.

Our "vast" reserves? We have reserves of oil for a worldwide emergency. They shouldn't be used except in case of...an emergency. Besides, the US oil reserve is a 57 day supply, that's it. The majority of people don't own SUVs or Hummers, so that's a strawman. We aren't drilling in ANWR and the Gulf Region, because Democrats oppose that sort of legislation. So basically, your whole post was a long strawman based on some really silly assumptions on your part.

Oh and yes, people lived quite well without oil. But at the same time, they weren't spread out all over the planet, they probably grew their own crops / raised animals or had someone nearby who did. They also knew how to preserve food for the winter months. If oil suddenly disappeared or we experianced a drastic reduction in oil supply, we would lose millions upon millions of people (mostly children and poor) while society adjusted to the new reality.

Turtle, you know I RESPECT your opinion. But that just won;t happen in that region...EVER! It is recorded throughout history, in the Bible, and many other sources. I have been hearing about nothing but conflict in the middle east since I was born.

It has a 100% track record for not being "stable". And you are looking at a country that is 98% Muslim, which means by thier own religion, we, Amercia, are thier "religious" enemy. And even if we were not in the region, they would continue to fight within thier own country..thats exactly why this assasination took place! The entire region is known for this activity. the only reason why they tolerate us their is because we provide them with economics and other things. Where do you think they got thier nuke plans from????

I just have to go on the track record and what is fact. I wish there could be peace..I LOVE PEACE!!! But in that region of the world it will simply never happen.

Turtlepoet78's photo
Fri 12/28/07 04:21 PM
Actualy the entire region enjoyed quite a bit of stability and freedom from the time Mohammed conquered it to about the 10th century. How old are you? I'm guessing you weren't around or old enough to remember the Ottamens before WW1. It hasn't always been "unstable" that's pure american myth. And america is not by the Qu'ran a muslim enemy, stop believing the western hype about the Qu'ran and go read it. Truth is most Muslims are peace loving people. To give up hope is to fail and in this case failure could be the downfall of the region. Keep your cynical attitude to yourself, if you can't be positive you can't help with a sollution;^]
