Pages turning so quickly now
As if the wind is blowing across my book
Time speeds up and slows down
A whirlwind effect upon my eyes and mind
Everything is a blur
Words running into one another
And it becomes one long word which I cannot make sense of
Wanting to stop and slow it down so that I may savor it all
But time ever elusive marches on and on
And the pages flip so quickly I cannot read
Unable to close the book because closing it means the end
And the end is so very far away....
