i think dating is dating..

if you're only dating, then you're out having fun, good clean fun.. which only means G rated fun..anyone can fill the shoes of the other person, as long as it's only dating... criminy.. you're only having fun..

if you're looking for more than a 'date' then you should narrow the list of potentials down to one...that's a difficult thing to do..

so yeah, go on dates, have fun, get yourself out there on the dating market...when the time is right, you'll know when to start the narrowing down process..

depends on how you define date
having a relationship to find out if you want to get serious--one at a time
meeting people-- several

have to agree with unsure. dating is not synonymous with "sleeping with".

and be honest with your dates as friends.

I just tell everyone that I am not looking for a relationship BUT I am looking for friends!! I actually had one guy to ask me what do I mean by friends...is that with or without benefits? HMM that never even crossed my mind actually!! When I say friends, thats exactly what I mean, friends!! I don't consider friends with benefits~~friends, I consider them more of an encounter.
So when I say that I am only looking for friends, I truly mean I am only looking for friends!!

you have to be specific-- i always tell guys who say that they just want to be friends that is great, love friends, but i do not sleep with my friends.

Funny flick.
The #'s for dating really thin down as you get older.
I see lots of arm candy, but most to young for me.
Lots of friends & good conversation are my goals.

I think its ok to date more than one person at a time, but there is a very complicated thing that has to happen and that is you have to be completely honest and more important, candid and timely. It would be difficult to tell someone that you like. "Remember we would tell each other if we had sex with others? oh yeah, by the way I had sex with someone else last night". I think for most people sex is not exactly planned, and the pressure of having to tell anyone else you are dating that it has happened, or will happen, well, this kind of relationship is not for everyone. In fact its only for the celibate.

You go out with someone for dinner or meeting, whatever. That doesn't mean you can't talk to anyone else. If you want to continue then you slow it down. No one has made a commitment and honesty is the best policy.

ok, i got a funny story bout this topic,,

always been a one man woman, even when "dating", but back in the day, I decided, hmmmmm,,never dated more than one at a time, think I should give it a shot.

One night, 3 am, I get a phone call, and the ~shrill~ voice on the other end is yellin, "leave my huband alone!!" My reply? "Who's your husband?"laugh laugh laugh No, I did not know the dude was married and assured the misses it was hands off, but man, I was almost as embarrassed as she wasblushing embarassed

One at a time, that way you stay "focused"

Just my humble opinionembarassed

In fact its only for the celibate.

I think when you get to that point in the relationship to where your sleeping with someone, then you should only be dating one person. If you are dating more then one person and you have sex with one of them...you have to be totally honest with the other one and end the "dating" situation.
I am celibate and I have been for a very long time, so I know that I won't have a problem with this. No one will pressure me to have sex with them. It won't be the mans choice IF I have sex with them..it would be my choice!!
No matter what you do, if you date one person or you date 3 people...the main factor here is honesty!! No matter what you have to be honest with the people you date. It all comes down to if you want a relationship with one person that is a committed relationship OR do you just want to be friends and go out and have dinner and have fun!! Plus when I say fun, that does not mean have sex..I just want to clear that up!!!

The pressure was about knowing that you would have to tell someone else that you had sex. Your celibate? N/M...lol I'm kidding, I already knew that....flowerforyou
