does anyone find it strange to feel the need to get a new matress on your bed after you have had a bad relationship?

I usually move after a bad relationship. Don't think I've ever tossed out the mattress though.

Nope.
I don't want to sleep in a bed that had been shared by others previous to you.....do you? |
|

thats my problem. I feel nasty there. Besides, when and if I should have another partner that I share the bed with, I think it is disrespectful to that person to have a bed I have shared with another....call me weird, but thats just me.

i think the things we do after a break-up... is to re define ourself.. <make things our own personal again> to try to forget about the bad and try to move forward with something good... for me its a good thinking time doing all that cleaning.... gets a lot of it out... maybe its just the matteress that makes u think of your partner that is no longer? but really it should be most everything in your house...deb

I had to wait two years before I could change the matrress (financial issues nothing sentimental), but I knw what you mean. I had that same feeling the entire time, and there are just so many different feelings and reliefs knowing that we have not shared this mattress, that I can not even begin to explain.

I dont worrie about the matress to much but i do re due the house with new paint in all rooms and arrange it the way i want it to be, something totaly different from what it was from when we shared it as a home.

I have no problems sleeping in the same bed I had when married!! Besides, that mattress cost 1000 bucks!!
Damn, still like new! Mattress covers do amazing things! Actually, I slept on the couch for awhile, but damn, that bed feels good!!! |
