studies have found it is impossible to be completely submerged in quicksand because humans are less dense than quicksand and a person would only sink to their chest before they begin to float.
I would throw someone a rope or reach for them with a branch so they can pull themselves out. Metaphorically speaking, it would depend on whether that person caused their own condition of 'drowning in quicksand' or if it was something beyond their control. I won't help someone not willing to help themselves. |
