I have to definitely say this was the worst Christmas I have ever had.

Fought with the ex the entire weekend through today.
Had to have Santa take back his gifts for my five year old.
Got called into work on christmas eve due t emergency at work.


It is bad enough that I am seriously considering taking down the Christmas tree tonight

it was just depressing for me

Something to think about - Is the five-year-old just reacting to mom and dad fighting? They're affected much more than we realize at the time and a five-year-old doesn't have the tools to deal with that kind of stress.

Or were the gifts returned because of duplications by other family members?

No I just had to deal witn the ex for the past three days. An ex that has been diagnosed with bipolar AND schizophrenia.

An ex that wants to start a fight or argument every time you open your mouth (I actualy get along better with my mother-in-law than I do with my ex)

And now I have to deal withthe fact that she left a day early after promising the children she would stay intil wedsnday, and I am going to have to deal with a five year old that has abandonment issues (in counseling now), adhd issues, obsessive compulsive issues and is not allowed to enter a 7-11 (party store) due to theft issues.

Look at it this way. At least you were able to wake up on Christmas morning with your children.

Daniel, I flung out the Christmas tree last week.

My X fiancee who decided to leave me two weeks before Christmas Decorated it. So it was gone.

Great, now I have that Icicle Works song in my head again...

Sorry to hear it Klug. My divorce was final on valentines day in 2006, so I know how you feel (I ALWAYS bought real jewelry for her on v-day; and not cheap stuff either)

I saw NONE of my family.
Is this worse.
Need to accept what can't be changed & change what you can.

I'm with you Don my kids are grown spent most of the day by my self but bad or worst Christmas never. I have the love of my kids and granddaughter. What more could a person ask for.

Daniel sorry yours seems so bad but you know just think it could be so much worse you could not have the chance to spend this time with your kids.
