14C clouds only, strong wind, rain. Seems Scotland is the better choice today. Coffee's at your place, Delightful! Oh Crystal, we’ve had the worst floods these last few days so it’s a blessed relief that there is a respite today before the next deluge tomorrow. So, if you can pop over today, you’d be very welcome Wouldn't it be nice if we could just beam wherever a la Star Trek!? And floods, OMG, I didn't know! I watch some footage, Christ almighty, that is some serious flooding! I hope you won't get more heavy rains! Are you in a relatively safe area, as in maybe a wee bit higher and/or not close to rivers and streams?

I’m relatively safe as my house is up a hill but usually the next town about 5 miles away suffers badly with flooding. There is a river that runs through my town but I’m far enough away from it so won’t suffer if the banks burst. Today it’s been mostly dry thankfully but we have another yellow warning of rain for tomorrow until Monday morning. Oh joy!

Let's keep our fingers crossed it won't be as bad! And happy to hear at the very least you're in a higher place. But it's really sad for everyone that did get their house and maybe more flooded/damaged. I heard that some places have better flood protection after the 2015 flood there, but not all places. From what I've seen of Dumfries -drone footage- you really don't need more water!

🤞 Dumfries is just over 50 miles away from me but it gets flooded often and yes it’s so sad to see homes and businesses affected. We’ll see what tomorrow brings. The forecast is for heavy rain all day with warnings in place

No it didn’t thankfully but further north seemed to have got hit hard with bridges being washed away yesterday.

That's bad (up north)! Hopefully the water quickly lowers and no more serious rain. When I watched that footage the other day they mentioned 30 cms rainfall in a day, lot of water!
