The 90s sucked.

Thinking back...all we were told by our PM was, "we have to economize. We must economize. Economizing is necessary because..."
Living like that year in year out does have an effect on a country.

Me and my husband were $300-$500 short every month and we weren't on minimum wage nor did we overspend.
We managed to raise a family, two kids, but money was always tight so we hardly ever went on holiday.

The 90s were the aftermath of the Cold War, and tearing down the Berlin Wall, so there was a lot of distrust and fear concerning that still. A lot of difficulty in Germany economically due to the poor eastern part that was now part of them.
This effect rippled through the whole world.

Good thing about the 90s... they made a lot of damned good movies!!
