dihydrogen monoxide is 2 hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom commonly known as H2O or simple water.

Also, I think that site is making a very important point - consider that all of its statements are literally true, and yet it paints a picture about something so common and accepted as being so malevolent. What does this say about how we should read all sites which provide "factual information" intended to influence your view on an issue?

you are correct in asserting that what they say is factually true, but the fact remains that it is water and the site is a hoax perpetrated to show exactly what you described about how the media manipulates factual information.

My dad told me something a long time ago that rings true:

"Don't believe anything you read or hear, and only half of what you personally witness."
