There has been a query on whether NBC, Washington Post, NYT and others - the mainstream media - all of them fake news? People don't understand this big business so I thought this old and tired joke will explain some of it.

An Indian tribal chief
decided to call his local National Weather Service office to see what kind of winter was expected. The forecaster replied, "Well, it looks like it will be cold." So the chief gathered his tribe together and warned them that the winter would be cold, so they needed to start collecting fire wood.
<br>A couple of weeks later, the chief wanted an update, so he telephoned the forecaster again. "Actually, it's looking colder than our previous thinking," said the meteorologist. The chief once again gathered his people. "The winter outlook is for even colder conditions. We need to collect more wood." And so the tribe did.

A month passes. The chief calls for yet another update. The weatherman says, "Yeah, you know it's starting to look really cold now, probably in the top ten of the coldest winters." And so the chief orders everyone to increase their efforts in gathering wood.

Another month goes by. The chief decides to make one last call to the Weather Service to get the latest forecast. The meteorologist on the phone says, "It is now looking like the most bitter, coldest winter on record!"

The chief thanked him for the warning, and as an afterthought asked the forecaster, "How do you know it's going to be that bad a winter?"

The weatherman replied,"Because the local Indians are collecting wood like crazy!"
