I was wondering what you guys think about the importance of the Old Testament. When I was a child, I was told that the Old Testament wasn't very important and that I should start reading the New Testament first. I'm curious as to whether this is a widespread opinion.
As an adult, I've read most of the Old Testament. If anything, I think it goes to show why the grace given to us from Jesus' death is so amazing. God seemed a bit more brutal (unforgiving?) in the Old Testament. |
