She has been there from day one
She has been there through
The rough and the fun
But she will never leave
I hope she knows
And will believe
That without her Id be a mess
There would be nothing of me left
She is my strength when I am weak
She lifts me up when all I want
Is to lay, weep, and sleep.

Lets travel to a time long ago
A time before she had ever
Heard the word “Pogo”
To a time she shall
Forget never,
The day I was born
It was a fight from the start
But she was determined
That we would not depart
From this time and space
Her love won the race,
Race that determined
If I leave or if I stay,
And if I’m writing to this day
You must know I chose to stay…
And I know mom prays each day
To give thinks I am here,
And her prayer ends in HURRAY!

Now forward in time we go
To a place and a face
She will always remember
The time we learned my dad was dead
I felt my heart turn to lead
And all I felt was dread
But she pulled me from that,
State of mind,
And if we had to rewind
To that day
I can tell you now
I will never forget
How mom pulled me threw
When I thought all was lost
A lesson she taught,
To me that day,
And that is,
Come what may,
Good or bad,
Happy or sad,
As long as you have someone,
Who is there for you always,
Nothing can be as bad as it seems.

So what I am trying to say
Mom, when things,
Look dark or grey,
When I need a friend,
Or when I need,
*I hate to say it*
Discipline
*Add now a little grin*
I turn to you,
To be my guide
I turn to you
To be by my side
I turn to you
To be forever with me
I turn to you to be my mom
The best thing in my life
I love you,
Mom,

Maybe not the most
Up-to-datest,
