i almost rented it once but it looked so cheesy i decided to just watch a wall for a while......

It was a good movie. That's it. I am not freakishly obsessed like a lot of these young teens running around, sporting their pre-package Donnie Darko crap.

so to watch it twice was worth it

from there people piece together wat this whole movie was about and how Donnie had to live his life in order for his family to still live on!

Does Eternal Sunshine count? It was an indie film and all. I thought that was fantastic.

I got the idea of the movie. I watched it all and understood it quite perfectly. The only reason why I watched this was because a friend of mine said the ending made absolutely no sense, and he also said that a lot of his friends also didn't understand.
This man claims to be more intelligent than me. So, I sat there and watched it, understood it, and kept my mouth shut.

It was a cool movie.
And as for intense, I'd rather watch 'American Beauty.'
Nothing like pure irony to leave you in a depressive and moved state.

Agreed. American Beauty was wonderful.
But Kevin Spacey can make anything worthwhile.

Donnie Darko is actually my favorite movie. I was like.. just sitting there at the end in a "oh my gosh" state.

American Beauty was fantastic as well.

I just realized...Next is a dumbed down Action movie that obviously took a cue from Donnie Darko. I really enjoyed Next, I just feel like it gave you a lot more crumbs than Donnie Darko, to help out those who didn't "get it".

ididn't understand it.....what like he traveled through time and saw the futur... he said he didn't want to be alone ... so that frank guy came and said 28 day the world will end...donnie.. lives through the 28 days and nothing but tragedy happens so when he comes back to the present he laughs because it doesn't happen any better so he ends up dying any way almost to make others lives better

Actually, this is a very good movie. Weird as it might be, it does say alot about how f*cked up a kid can be when he see Rabbits telling him to do sh*t!

I have never seen this movie, but was informed earlier today by a friend that it is a must say. He said the first time I watch it i will think it's stupid, the second time i'll laugh, the third time I'll be rolling, and the 4th time will just be to watch it again

no i thought it was because he was a troubled genius who was into time travel and actually did just was seeing the future
