i think you should do whatever will be more comfortable for you. if you meet them and your not ready for it, they may come away thinking your too quiet or uptight. if you meet them when your comfortable the image you give off will be more approachable and they might get a better feel for you, which just allows them to make a better judgement. people say that first impressions are everything, if your not comfortable they might be able to tell.

Go for it. Wt better time? Everyone will be excited about Christmas that they won't settle down to doing the old stare and glare act. Besides they will be less likely to ask a lot of personal questions in front of the entire crowd.

If your shy and want an adventure , you should. But if you will have a panic attack then you shouldn't. Or maybe you and your girlfriend can have a secret code for an escape if it gets to be overwhelming. My last boyfriend and I had that last Thanksgiving and we left and gave him a break, went and got some ice, talked about what was worrying him that far and it worked out pretty well.

This reminds me of last Christmas. I took my ex girlfriend to my grandparents house. It was weird at first then everybody was fine with it. Just do it. That's what I would do.
