I have had a problem with professional sports for a while now. It seems like the referee/umpire crew (in all sports) do not call games well or fairly in a major portion of the games.
Does anyone else notice how poorly many games are called? Does anyone else see the favoritism?
I don't think there is anything that will fix this short of a complete strike of all sporting events until the issue is fixed (which is not going to happen, lol). However, I think it is sad that a team should have their chances ruined by poor officiating. I would love to see some standards imposed, and officials penalized for having a poorly called game. After all, if you went to work and did a consistently horrible job you would get talked to and possibly fired.
Sorry for the rant, but I just watched a hockey game with over 25 uncalled trips, 20 back checks, and a few holdings not called on one team. The other team was trying to play a clean game, and just couldn't keep up with all the penalties that were not called... and ended up losing. I think that's stupid, and I just got irked enough to write about it!

I think maybe refs are betting on games and not calling penalties against the team they want to win and it really isn't right. I've noticed it with some other sports as well.. especially basketball.. that drives me nuts.

Nevermind watching it! I have played in games where definit fouls were made and none were called.

It seems to me that most sports the refs do a good job. However Hockey is weird lately. Its like those guys are lost out there. Or maybe they don't talk to each other enough to get uniformity. When you watch hockey now you cant be sure what the game will look like.

fuk that, damn the call on the OSU game, he was the reason we lost, now ther bringing up the fact he was the reff that bet on the NBA games and got fired for it.

Same here. Also where calls were made to end plays that shouldn't have been ended.

navy vs utah

utah had the ball and fumbled it and it hit the pillar which in that case should have been a touchback and navy shoulda got the ball, play was reviewed and still called outa bounds, donno who all seen it but it was some BS i think.

there are alot of questionable calls going on.



i was at the Ark vs Ole Miss game and when Robert Johnson got a touchdown and threw the ball,they penalized him for "celebrating in the endzone"

well the next drive,Ole Miss scored and had about 5 guys dancing around in the endzone and no penalty was called.

the whole stadium shook from all the people booing because of that.
