The Path

Pausing in the middle of a pathway
that leads to nowhere
feeling lost in this forest
of petrified truth
branches ever growing
cause the light to dim
the shadows consume the unsuspecting
empty vessels carrying unseen burdens
of past disappointments
i feel your presence and continue onward
i’ve searched for you for many years
discovered parts of you
in a few
never the whole
never the true
one day our paths i pray
will cross
one day you will never feel
again the loss
a longing shared by empty hearts
i miss you though we have never met
discontent rules the land of searching souls
one day to be found…

Great one again Kev...sorry I hadn't read it sooner. But believe me, there is always hope out there and it will come to you when you least expect it...look at me...I almost gave up and left this site until that one day...my love came back into my life....never lose hope friend...she is out there.
