Topic: Marriage or living together?

Geez guys, I start these threads, but nobody ever asks me what I think or want lol. Okay... Which do you prefer? Neither. Two dead husbands And they say "Keep looking, better luck next time, baby". How about "No thanks, my heart can't take anymore". They tell me I will feel different in a few years, I tell them I would rather be dead than feel love again. It ends in tragedy. "It won't", they say. I watch the night sky and see you both, waiting for me. Three husband's is one too much.

I want a commitment. It'll become a Common Law marriage in 7 to 10 years. If the papers need to be signed for legal purposes then they will. All or nothing.

I love the idea of marriage, but not the risk of joint bank accounts and investments. That can be complicated enough without being legally responsible for someone else’s decisions. How about you, Ladywind7? Thank you for commenting and asking Shybutkind Honestly, I can't marry again. I am too scared to. Love to me means pain. Sorry to hear that.

because i felt that i owed it to me and her if we are cohabitating and i was filling in as a dad to the kids then im all in, and isn't that what marriage is?

and as far as common law i guess i escaped that. The fact is we lived together for 15 years and when we split, we split. we both realized it ran its course and adult enough to go our own way.

A guy I knew a couple of years ago was with a woman for 34 years. They never married. They split. They still had to go to court and file for divorce and fill out papers.
