If you want to start with ANYTHING to "save America" start with the government! Lets make a MARCH ON WASHINGTON! Everyone take a few days off..and I mean shutting down EVERYTHING. And DEMAND they either get things fixed NOW (not later or over time...that would NEVER work) and tell them if they can;t then they are FIRED!

You may think thats crazy and can;t be done..but YES IT COULD!

Will it happen? No, not enough people with the "guts" to do something like that.

But another answer out there..change must start with our government. then we hit the business sides...because then with the government on the side of the people (and not big business) we have the power AND authority!

Umm actually I HAVE! And am known for using things like a picket sign on a few occassions.

I put ACTION behind my words..always have.

And thinkin about since 2008 is an "election" year, maybe taking a month in late Spring or early Summer and sitting up on the steps for a while, even if its just me. may look like a "nut" but at least I'm doing something more than paying "LIP SERVICE"! To me it's better to do the "WRONGTHING" than to do "NOTHING".

@sumthindifferant, I'm with ya on that in part, afterall segregation finaly ended. I keep hearing these rallies about the war but nobody seems to be picketing for gay marriage, action in darfur, did join a small one in staunton against the oil hikes, not that I really had anything to give up...lol. Still, action is needed for change to happen, but much of america has either gone lazy or as gypsy stated, has too much to lose. But I think it's equaly important to put an emphasis on voting the issues, writing to your congressman, and in general have your voice be heard;^]

Yes, we need to Buy AMERICAN made, We need to start little back yard projects, a little bartering, more gardening , becoming more self sufficient, learn to be more handy about fixing things,growing things, quit using genetically altered seeds in our farming, do more organic backyard farming, get rid of the NAFTA free trade rules, AND OF COURSE MAKE RON PAUL the next PRESIDENT< he will help us do these things .

But now Congress and Senate are BOUGHT AND PAID FOR! keep a watch on the Internet news from around the Palm Springs area of CA just after the first of the year. There is going to be a picket sign right outside the Palm Springs office of Congresswoman Mary Bono...and guess who will be holding that sign??? ME!!!! Why? because her.her office gave me the "political "stroke-off" regarding the "passport" problem, even when it was sitting on the agenda in Congress. They basically tried to blow me off! (Under any other circumstances that kind of thing from her would be a welcome thing...but...) and gave me some babble chit about talking with the DOJ (Department of Justice) etc. etc.

In short, I'm going to have her, in person, stand in front of me and explain in detail WHY she ignored my specific information and did the "political dance" around a very valid issue that was sitting right in front of Congress at that time!

It may or may not make the news..but I'll even cam it to put it up on the internet just to show.

But THEY do NOT do thier jobs! Did you know they onlt WORK 2 days a week!!??? And the other 3 or more are used for FUND RAISING!!!???? WTF IS THAT!!??

So no friend, it's time we have to take it back ourselves or we lose it all together!
