I might not sound sane to some bit I strongly believe and know what I'm saying. The point is this. Do we really love and hate at a time and do we all know why??

It's funny, but I like the first response. In a lover, you love some things and hate other things but the good things usually overshadow the way you feel and you don't mind.

You can't really feel those at the same time.
Both are very intense emotions and on the other end of the same stick. You cannot be on one end and the other in one go.
Typically when you are totally loving you just don't hate. And when you're hating, you are so overcome by that feeling you cannot love. It is simply not possible.
We easily say "I hate XYZ.." and "I love..XYZ" but these are figure of speech.

Same here. I doubt I'm capable of it. Things should have to get really really bad, maybe then.
And sure I sometimes do say "Dang, I hate it when that happens!" but that's figure of speech, not that I'm actually feeling hate.

We use the word "hate" sparingly but most of the times, it is annoyance that we feel.. like I say "I just hate it when men leave the toilet seat up! " What I was really feeling is annoyance and if one keeps leaving the toilet seat up, I might hit their head with frying pan.

Physiologically we sorta can.
And for the most part I doubt it.

You have a lot of feelings. (chartreuse, magenta, ochre, fire engine red, ecru,)
Feelings are those things that occur when the colors of that emotion rainbow blend together.

You ever seen an old t.v. with dials?
Where you turn to channel 1 and it's that one program.
Then you turn the dial and it goes to channel 2 and it's a completely different program.
Then you go to your friends house and turn their t.v.'s dial to channel 1 and it's the same exact show as on your t.v. on channel 1?

Emotions/feelings don't really work the same way.
Again, they're mostly like colors in varying shades, triggered by different experiences to different degrees associating with them in different ways, on the subjective/individual level.
Generally the same chemicals involved in the brain and body person to person, but different subjective tolerance, associative degree, and understanding of what's going on and subsequent behavioral response.


So it's "possible" to "love and hate at a time."
But IMO most people don't really understand why.
Simply because they don't really understand what's "really" going on with themselves.
Try to get a consistent definition of what exactly defines "love" or even "hate."


Everyone does.
The issue is being able to effectively communicate that to another person, have them understand, and give a crap.

Yes, I agree! I've said I hate something, but it was more of an annoyance. There's some things I seriously don't like, but I won't entertain hate. I'd much rather have love in my heart.

Love the person, hate their behaviour. Definitely possible.

Yep.... I learned early about the toilet seat. I also close the lid too, but have actually taken flack for that. gotta cover all bases yanno.

My mother used to hit me in the head with the pan back in the 60's, and I have now finally healed from all the dents accumulated on my skull.... but I don't think that poor pan ever healed. So sad.
