he's got a point, every message i sent (even the simple little that was funny or thats a great picture) never got a response so i stopped sending them. granted i've never hit on a girl on here and was never really planning on it but a simple thanks would have been nice. i get alot more emails by just not doing anything and letting them come to me then i ever did by sending any. This has worked for me, too -- I stopped sending first e-mails ages ago. Now I just let them write to me first, and they do --in large numbers -- kind of sad, in a way, because it would be nice if dialogue could be initiated from either side, but it just doesn't work that way here. |

Just a quick bit of advice for the gents here.
It's been my experience that very few of the guys who email me have read my profile. Men have admitted to me that they only look at the photos before responding. If they had read the profile they would have seen my location/ethnicity preferences. If someone contacts me who does not fit my preferences I delete the unread email. Not reading the profile and fitting the preferences could be one reason some of you are not getting any responses. Also, I think the worst emails I've ever gotten on a dating site are the ones where the guy just gives his name and number. Last one I got like that said "What are you doing on tonight?" and a phone number. I wrote back. "What am I doing tonight? Not you!" ;> |

I haven't found that to be the case at all. Just the ones in Illinois, Indiana, the surrounding states.... The farther away they are from me, the less stuck-up they are! It's a simple mathematical formula.... I don't think its your surrounding area so much...maybe you just haven't met the right one yet? Plus I am from Indiana and I don't think I am stuck up at all!!
